About this audiobook
A mysterious circus terrifies an audience for one extraordinary performance before disappearing into the night, taking one of the spectators along with it . . . In a novella set two years after the events of American Gods, Shadow pays a visit to an ancient Scottish mansion, and finds himself trapped in a game of murder and monsters . . . In a Hugo Award-winning short story set in a strangely altered Victorian England, the great detective Sherlock Holmes must solve a most unsettling royal murder . . . Two teenage boys crash a party and meet the girls of their dreams—and nightmares . . . In a Locus Award-winning tale, the members of an exclusive epicurean club lament that they've eaten everything that can be eaten, with the exception of a legendary, rare, and exceedingly dangerous Egyptian bird . . . Such marvelous creations and more—including a short story set in the world of The Matrix, and others set in the worlds of gothic fiction and children's fiction—can be found in this extraordinary collection, which showcases Gaiman's storytelling brilliance as well as his terrifyingly entertaining dark sense of humor. By turns delightful, disturbing, and diverting, Fragile Things is a gift of literary enchantment from one of the most unique writers of our time.

A short story that brings back the characters of Arthur Conan Doyle to narrate a detective story with an interesting twist. The mystery is set in a genre different from the simple traditional mystery that involves the famous detective, who will have to unravel a murder that is completely different. A case stained with the blood of A Study in Emerald. (Translated from Spanish) - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

Summer 2018, audiobook:
Neil Gaimen's masterpiece in honor of Arthur Canon Doyle & HP Lovecraft, based on "A Study in Scarlet."
I had a delightful time watching this play out as a "Sherlock Story" far into the future, with our unnamed duo sluthing the case, of The Great Old Ones. I laughed delightedly at the inworld advertisements showcasing even more literary characters (Vlad Tepes/Dracul, Victor Frankenstein, Spring Heeled Jack, and Dr. Jekyl). A short fast read, I can still see why this masterpiece won so many awards and is constantly on several recommendation lists. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

As expected, a brilliant story by Neil Gaiman, which is much more enjoyable if you are familiar with Doyle's universe and his Sherlock Holmes, as well as the dark Lovecraftian universe. A curious combination that only Gaiman can pull off. However, I felt it could have been explored a bit more; it’s extremely short, wrapped up in twenty or thirty minutes, even taking time to enjoy the artwork by Rafael Albuquerque. In short, brief but intense and beautiful. (Translated from Spanish) - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

A few weeks ago, a friend gifted me this graphic novel because he knows I am a true admirer of Neil Gaiman and, as always, he hit the mark perfectly.
I read it then, but I will try to do a review now, although it will be difficult to be impartial since both the writer and the artist (Rafael Albuquerque) are among my favorite creators, and together they have created a work that can only be described as elegant.
In a dark London where the Sherlock Holmes of Arthur Conan Doyle and the Cthulhu myths of H.P. Lovecraft seem to have merged, a terrible murder has occurred; someone has taken the life of a member of the royal family. The famous consulting detective and his new partner are investigating a case that initially seemed easy to solve. Whether they solve it or not is something you can only find out if you read to the end.
The script is intelligent, and the artwork is sublime. The most "fun" or rather curious aspect is the number of references to classic horror literature in general. (Translated from Spanish) - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

This was a very interesting, rather dark take on the classic Sherlock Holmes stories. I haven't read any Lovecraft, so I can only say, the Sherlock Holmes-esque part of the story was great. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5

HP Lovecraft Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Written & Narrated by Neil Gaiman = WIN.
This is a short story (from Fragile Things if the reviews I've read are correct) offered as a freebie by Audible and it's written by Neil Gaiman. If you are a fan of Lovecraft and the Cthulhu mythos and/or Sherlock Holmes, this short story (seriously, 48 min) is awesome. Neil Gaiman is also a fantastic narrator, so this is a win all-round.
