Embedded system are revolving around us in every types of applications either as bigger component or also as sub components. Software and hardware are the mains components of the embedded system. Today embedded system are driven be software and hence it is necessary to understand the modelling of the embedded system based on their requirements. Analysis of requirements and managing the project is very challenging and tedious task. So handle the project and its requirements and interaction with the client a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) helps to provide better model and execute system design project. In this paper an analysis of SDLC model of different methods had carried in comparison with Agile Methods (AM). Agile Method for software development is an evolutionary approach where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams within an effective governance framework to provide solutions in cost effective and timely manner which meets the changing needs of stakeholder. The main reason behind Agile development is to create a pain-free working environment for small self-organized teams to assist companies to take full advantage of the customer value of the delivered software product. AM focuses on coding rather than planning or documentation but in embedded systems often have extra documentation requirements due to need for optimized code. With the advent of the management and technology and Lean Agile Method had been developed to put better optimize process for embedded SDLC without any wastage of system manpower and resources. Agile Method has continuous measurements, planning & adjustments by management which is beneficial for embedded system development since it manages the feature set, staffing, projected delivery date and helps the project manager to determine when & where the performance optimizations are required. It also support better code refactoring which helps in optimizations. On other side agile methods increase potential threats to business continuity due to lack of emphasis on necessary designing and documentation and there is need to improve the AM to overcome these threats.

CASE (Computer Aided Software Engineering) tools have played a critical role in improving software productivity and quality by assisting tasks in software development processes. Several parametric software cost models adopt “use of software tools” as one of the environmental factors that affect software development productivity, reduce  time period required for implementation of software and development cost. Most software development teams use CASE tools that are assembled over time and adopt new tools without establishing formal evaluation criteria. Many CASE Tools are available in the market which deals with the particular one phase or with the combined phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for reducing the Effort and development time of the implementation of the software. With the massive growth of the organizations files, the needs for archiving system become a must. A lot of time is consumed in collecting requirements from the organization to build an archiving system. Sometimes the system does not meet the organization needs. This paper proposes a domain-based requirement engineering system that efficiently and effectively develops different archiving systems based on new
suggested technique that merges the two best used agile methodologies: extreme programming (XP) and SCRUM. The technique is tested on a real case study. The results shows that the time and effort consumed during analyzing and designing the archiving systems decreased significantly. The proposed methodology also reduces the system errors that may happen at the early stages of the development of the system

There are enough evidences of software project failures. Starting from economic losses to live losses is caused by many software project failures. Software project failures have significant impact on both social and economic factors. Hence, it is important to identify the different reasons for project failures. If these reasons are pre-known, actions can be taken during project development to reduce project failure risks. In this paper we identify and categorized the project failure root causes based on their different sources. Then briefly we have highlighted the primary features of the BRIDGE [1] process model and explored the ways and means how these project failure reasons may be reduced or alleviated by following the BRIDGE process model.

In this paper we give the details on Non-Functional Requirements and its importance in various fields. We also investigate the effect of working out for the Non-functional Requirements which leads to the discovery of new Functional Requirements. After the coding phase in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), during the process of articulating the Non-Functional Requirements the software analysts come up with the new unexpected Functional Requirements and which further creates a vicious circle. Requirements engineering (RE) is the comprehensiveness of user requirement. It comprises of all processes of life-cycle in identification, specification, analysis, development, validation and evaluation of the requirement. This ensures that the system satisfy the requirement of the customer. Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) aim to produce a high-quality systems that meets customer expectations, delivered within specific time, able to minimize cost and maximize profit. The SDLC methods considered literature on using Spiral Method, Waterfall Method, Verification and Validation (V-Model) and Rapid Application Development (RAD). However, researcher has not been able to select and review literature that focus on this research work. This work uses method that is proposed by Kitchenham to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Some of the reviewed papers considered are from Research Gate, Science Direct, Springer, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) and World Wide Web (WWW). 385 published papers where identified, 27 of the papers are relevant to RE used in SDLC which provide information about the topic. The paper systematically review literatures that will help researchers and practitioners to better understand RE techniques that are used in SDLC.

Pembangunan sesebuah aplikasi web tidak kira aplikasi yang ringkas, sederhana mahupun rumit perlu melalui fasa-fasa pembangunan sistem agar aplikasi yang dibangunkan adalah mengikut kehendak pengguna. Pada kebiasaanya, carta gantt akan diwujudkan dalam fasa perancangan pembangunan aplikasi. Selain daripada itu, modul-modul dalam aplikasi perlu dikenalpasti dahulu agar tidak tersasar dari objektif pembangunan aplikasi. Oleh yang demikian, kertas kerja ini menerangkan kaedah dan panduan membina MVC (Model-View-Controller) dengan menggunakan perisian Gantt Excel dalam pembangunan sesebuah aplikasi.

SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) merupakan sebuah siklus hidup pengembangan perangkat lunak yang terdiri dari beberapa tahapan-tahapan penting dalam membangun perangkat lunak yang dilihat dari segi pengembangannya. 4 Model Perancangan berbasis SDLC yaitu, Waterfall, Prototype, RAD (Rapid Application Development) dan Agile Software Development.

با توجه به موقعیت جغرافیایی بسیار مناسب کشورمان در منطقه که به مانند پلی بر سر شاهراه ارتباطی دنیا قرار گرفته است و استعدادهای بالقوه و ذاتی که نشان از غنی بودن منابع انسانی مناسب در کشورمان دارد؛ بستری مناسب برای فعالیت در زمینه صنعت فناوری اطلاعات و مخصوصاً سیستم‌های نرم افزاری وجود دارد که با تکیه بر دانش فنی به روز و کارآمد و استفاده از شیوه‌های جدید مدیریت سیستم‌های نرم افزاری، امید است بتوانیم در آینده پیشروی خدمات نوین انفورماتیکی در منطقه و در دنیا باشیم.

شیوه‌های مدرن و کارآمد در طراحی و توسعة نرم افزار، همواره از مهمترین قسمت‌های مورد توجه مدیران و طراحان سیستم‌های نرم افزاری به شمار می‌آید و امروزه الگوهای متفاوت و مختلفی را می‌توان در طراحی و توسعة نرم افزار مورد استفاده قرار داد. در این مقاله، پس از بررسی نیازهای سیستم‌های نرم افزاری از دید مدیریت پروژه، به بررسی شیوه‌های توسعة سیستم (با توجه به اقتصادی‌ترین روش‌های پیاده سازی سیستم‌های نرم افزاری) پرداخته شده است. سپس به منظور طراحی، مدیریت و پشتیبانی جامع سیستم‌های نوین نرم افزاری، مدلی جدید، کارآمد و مبتنی بر چرخة حیات به نام "دورة توسعه و حیات نرم افزار" (SDLC) تعریف و ارائه می‌گردد. پس از تعریف، مدل دورة توسعه و حیات نرم افزار به صورت مرحله به مرحله شرح داده شده و مزایای آن نسبت به استفاده از شیوه‌های کلاسیک مدیریت سیستم‌های نرم افزاری به صورت مشروح بیان می‌گردد و در انتها نتایج به دست آمده از اجراهای عملی (مشابه با مدل مطروحه) ارائه می‌گردد.

In system development life cycle (SDLC), a system model can be developed using Data Flow Diagram (DFD). DFD is graphical diagrams for specifying, constructing and visualizing the model of a system. DFD is used in defining the requirements in a graphical view. In this paper, we focus on DFD and its rules for drawing and defining the diagrams. We then formalize these rules and develop the tool based on the formalized rules. The formalized rules for consistency check between the diagrams are used in developing the tool. This is to ensure the syntax for drawing the diagrams is correct and strictly followed. The tool automates the process of manual consistency check between data flow diagrams.
