Статья раскрывает содержание понятия «философская грусть» в творчестве С.А. Есенина на материале анализа стихотворения 1919 г. «Душа грустит о небесах…». Выявлены основные источники «философской грусти» у Есенина в пореволюционные годы: общий христианский сюжет о движении человеческой души к небесной отчизне, крушение веры в революцию духа, платоновский миф о небесной отчизне, воспринятый через стихотворение М.Ю. Лермонтова «Ангел». Содержание статьи может быть использовано для более глубокого анализа произведений Есенина на уроках литературы, а также в качестве вспомогательного материала на уроках русского языка и мировой художественной культуры.

A lo largo de los casi doscientos poemas que componen este libro, la belleza se concibe como un límite indefinido entre la idea y la forma. Al buscarla, tanto el entendimiento como la sensibilidad contemplan un horizonte intrínsecamente inagotable, cuya naturaleza evoca lo infinito. Toda tendencia hacia ese hipotético final se vuelve asintótica, y es en el deseo de apreciar la belleza a través de las diversas manifestaciones de la palabra donde se revela la esencia más profunda del arte como culto a la expresión en sí misma, como entrega creadora e incondicionada.

The aim of this article is to analyze Wisława Szymborska's literary works in order to demonstrate that her aphoristic style is one of the most striking elements of her texts. Szymborska's style is particularly notable in that it is ironically aphoristic, containing parody of typical aphoristic schemata, paradox and tautology. Through this style, her work not only enriches the traditional repertoire of the genre but seems also to justify an important feature of her writing: its philosophical and intellectual character often discerned by critics. As a consequence, quotes from her oeuvre frequently enter diverse anthologies of 'wise and funny thoughts' and collections of the so-called 'winged' words.

    Why did western Greek philosophers (Xenophanes, Parmenides, Empedocles), unlike their Eastern Ionian colleagues, chose the Homeric hexameter rather than prose to express their thought? It has been thought by some that these philosophical poems represent a continuation or adaptation of the Homeric tradition for didactic purposes. We reject this interpretation because it ignores the fundamental difference between the Ionian and Italian philosophical traditions. The Ionian tradition was scientific in spirit and therefore used Ionian prose. The Italian tradition starting from Pythagoras was a revolt against the Ionian naturalistic monism and an attempt to restore the traditional mythopoetic world-view in a new quasi-scientific form. Western Greek philosophy from the start was ethical-religious in its aims, and therefore it chose the most “hieratic” poetic medium of the time, the language of Pythia and Apollo. And in doing so it did not aim so much at the “continuation” of the Homeric tradition as at “replacing” the old bad mythology of the poets with a good new one, just as Plato later tried to replace bad old myths with new philosophical myths of his own. Western Greek philosophical poems, consequently, should be viewed not as a revival of the old epic poetry, but as its radical reform and a peritope. In Greek dialectics peritrope was a technical term for “turning” the opponent’s argument against himself. We use this term in a less technical and wider sense of a polemical device which aims at “defeating an opponent with his own weapons”. Peritope is an often neglected polemical device of the Greek culture of the philosophical debate. E.g. the Derveni allegorical treatise (which we attribute to Prodicus) is an example of naturalistic and atheistic peritrope of the religious Orphic poem.  The cosmogony of Plato’s “Timaeus” can be interpreted as a teleological (and immaterialist) peritrope of the Ionian (and atomistic) determinist physics.
  On p. 104 a new reading of Parmenides B 1,3 is proposed:
        δαίμονος ἣ κατὰ πάντα ποτῆι φέρει εἰδότα φῶτα
“(the road) of goddess who carries the man of knowledge (i.e. the philosopher) on wings (literally “by flight” or flying) across the Universe”. The imagery of Parmenides’ proem is imitated in the famous passage of Plato’ Phaedrus that compares the soul with a winged chariot.

En esta investigación me propongo discutir algunos aspectos de La casa de la forma desde el lente del modelo alemán Gestalt que nos ilumina la visión del poeta y nos ayuda a sumergirnos en la complicidad de su sistema poetológico. Veremos cómo algunos de los principios de la psicología Gestalt pueden servirnos para establecer parámetros de análisis en el marco de la creación conceptual de la poesía de Joserramón Meléndez.  Esto es así porque tanto en el modelo Gestalt como en las teorías de cognición poéticas, encontramos vertientes que enfocan los procesos creativos, la formulación de las imágenes, los procesos lúdico-poéticos, y el uso del lenguaje como órgano mental, entre otros.

A close reading of Mary Robinson’s late-eighteenth-century poem “London’s Summer Morning,” which captures all the noises and smells of a busy London street, is not enough to convince the reader that it isn’t all a dream. But whose dream? René Descartes and Wallace Stevens suggest that it may not matter.

A arte, na antiga Grécia, cumpria uma função social, servindo a sua influência para “modelar” a vida do indivíduo e a estrutura da sociedade. A poesia, por exemplo, não era monopólio de um público selecionado, mas, como ocorria com os poemas épicos nacionais, formava a base do sistema educativo, ocupando lugar de destaque em todas as reuniões sociais, das cerimônias religiosas aos grandes certames atléticos. Por essa razão Platão discute a palavra “poiesis” (da qual deriva “poeta”), que, originariamente, significa “construir” ou “fazer”, no sentido mais lato. “Toda causa de uma coisa que passa do não ser para o ser é 'poiesis'”. Segundo esta concepção não haveria diferença entre artistas e poetas diante dos demais artífices no tocante à sua atividade produtiva, apesar de que nos produtos dos ofícios industriais os seres humanos criam coisas reais, e na poesia, na pintura e nas outras artes que proporcionam prazer criam simulacros ou imagens de coisas reais. Preocupando-se mais com a função educativa e o impacto social (incluindo a música e a poesia), julgando as suas obras pelos seus resultados, minimizando o valor estético de cada uma delas, o legado socrático-platônico gera a “Razão Tirânica” (fase do “Lógos”, “Era da Consciência Filosófica”), em detrimento de “A Bela Imediatez”, personificada pela “tradição da tragédia” da fase mítica (”Era da Consciência Mitológica”), caracterizada pelo saber místico da unidade da vida e da morte, que constitui uma “chave” que abre o caminho essencial do mundo, segundo Nietzsche, que defende “a crítica de todos os valores estabelecidos (e a criação de novos), enriquecendo a filosofia com meios de expressão: o aforismo e o poema”. O Todo Essencial é, pois, fruto da inter-relação que envolve a “Razão Tirânica” e “A Bela Imediatez”: “Moral Apolínea” versus “Paixão Dionisíaca”. Autoconhecimento – eis a proposta do escritor Mariano da Rosa (poeta, investigador e ensaísta).
"O Todo Essencial" reúne em seu volume 40 textos (poemas e sonetos) divididos em quatro partes - "Diagnose Lírica"; "Fragmentalidade, Fragmentalismo, Fragmentação"; "O Agora-Perfeito do Futuro"; e "Identidade". A primeira parte analisa o sintomatismo emocional que evidencia a existência daquilo que, de acordo com o autor, viabiliza a autogestação do ser - o Amor. A segunda parte discute a relação do ser com os principais referenciais da sua existência - a Vida, o Sonho, a Paz, o Próximo, a Memória, o Tempo, a Morte. A terceira parte objetiva despertar a Consciência Sociopolítica, explorando questões como a Liberdade, a Igualdade e a Justiça, e mostrando a Utopia Socialista, que tem esses pilares como fundamento. A quarta parte trata da espiritualidade inerente à Natureza Humana - não como uma febre religiosa (um credo institucional), mas como um fenômeno metafísico que determina mesmo o modus essendi e o destino.

Deixando “transparecer” um mistério do Ser, a poesia fenomenológica e neo-simbolista de Quase Sagrado converge para uma mediação entre existência e transcendência através de um conteúdo que desnuda o diálogo entre a finitude e a infinitude que se impõe à experiência do homem como um ser em devir, remetendo à dimensão metafísica da realidade vivida e à linguagem como possibilidade de revelação do Absoluto em uma relação que atribui ao poético a condição originária, qual seja, um lugar de escuta e de resposta que mais do que a representação das coisas, se lhes confere ser e presença. Propondo uma viagem interior ao Ser através de uma abordagem meditativa que possibilita a emergência do essencial em sua condição oculta, Quase Sagrado desvela a riqueza do mistério inesgotável que envolve a Sua manifestação que, escapando ao exercício de fundamentação atrelado ao pensamento, mantém-se sob o abrigo da linguagem que, longe de consistir em um mero instrumento de comunicação ou exteriorização, encerra o pertencimento do homem em sua individualidade concreta e subjetividade empírica às fronteiras da linguagem e implica que a relação do sujeito com a linguagem acena com a sua própria relação com o Ser. Dessa forma, convergindo para o mítico abismo da origem, Quase Sagrado escapa à concepção humanista que atribui ao homem o poder de autoconstituição do eu transcendental e a capacidade de autossuficiência, na medida em que pretende conservar a precariedade da condição que caracteriza a relação do sujeito com o Ser através do simbólico e da linguagem da metáfora que, dialogando com o horizonte pobre e fragmentário do claro-escuro, encerra a possibilidade de revelação que o atalho lógico-racional nega, tendo em vista guardar o sentido que somente emerge na errância e no jogo sem cálculo e destituído de objetivo de um pensamento que não impõe à verdade uma noção baseada na certeza das representações do sujeito em sua ilusória soberania mas vislumbra na sua constituição a ocultação e a dissimulação em um movimento que implica o desvelamento do Ser e o retorno ao seu fundamento.

This essay argues that John Ashbery’s postmodern poem, “Self-Portrait in a Convex Mirror,” should be read as a sustained effort to come to terms with the legacy of modernism. Modernist poets remained haunted by a fundamental dilemma: the more they emphasized the redemptive potential of ecstatic lyric moments, the closer they came to dismissing quotidian existence as a tragic fall from the intensities of aesthetic experience. Ashbery’s poem not only registers forcefully this modernist predicament as the problem of “pathos vs. experience” but also strives to overcome it. Ashbery copes with this problem by invoking the dialectical notion of convexity, which proves to be the poem’s governing principle. By drawing on some core doctrines in Hegel’s philosophy, I clarify the convex logic of Ashbery’s postmodern poetics.

In this poem, the long-sought hypothetical 'graviton' is proposed to have been the central point from which space-time would come to emerge. It's hypothesized that an asymmetry caused an absence of information to repulsively warp gravity outward, causing the universe to expand while the center became lost. Eventually, the force that once dominated the other three fundamental interactions -- gravity, then spread out affecting all mass.

The author analyses some interesting metrical choices in the Philosophical Poems (1622) by Tommaso Campanella. He suggests a relation between the adoption of the sapphic stanza in his psalmodies and the figure of Orpheus, who - in Campanella - is the poet-theologian par excellence (together with David) and he is a model for Campanella himself as a poet. In addition, the author suggests a relationship between some metrical choices by Campanella and the models offered by the Neapolitan poets Sannazaro and Pontano, taking into account the importance of the Neapolitan environment for Campanella’s cultural formation. He explains the apparent strangeness of Campanella’s choice to call ‘madrigale’ each stanza of his ‘canzoni’ by examining the peculiar way to consider the form of ‘madrigal’ in the Sixteenth-Seventeenth Centuries.

Born in 1947, Christopher Norris is Emeritus Professor of Philosophy at Cardiff University. He worked first on literary criticism, then on the question of realism and antirealism in philosophy (as a strong adversary of antirealism), on Derrida and deconstructionism and, more recently, on the philosophy of science. In the past few years he has also authored several philosophical poems. In this issue we present two poems he wrote that are dedicated to color. Color is a recurrent theme in Norris' poetry. Why? And why does Norris choose, for nearly ten years past, to mainly use poems for his philosophical investigations? Is there a link between his interest on color and this choice he has made? Moreover: Norris was always a strong adversary of antirealism and the extreme consequences of the "linguistic turn". Isn't there a contradiction between this philosophical position and the importance he gives to poetry? Perhaps color can give us a key.

Anthony Uhlmann, literary critic and novelist writes:

“McGee’s COMEDY takes Dante as a model, but the first book is an inferno only insofar as fire is like flowing water, which in turn is like thought itself: mixing, altering, and consuming as it goes. Behind it is an idea that also occurs in McGee’s critical works: that the worlds we exist in are woven through streams of thought that change and flow. Among this flow are currents that express a growing understanding of how things might be.”

La Sepmaine de du Bartas se présente d’abord comme un poème de la vue. Alors que certains poètes cosmologiques de la Renaissance ont aussi célébré l’harmonieuse musique des sphères célestes, du Bartas a choisi de regarder l’univers. Mais ce regard a, de l’aveu même du poète, deux objets : l’un est immédiat, et ses sens s’y appliquent, il s’agit du monde. L’autre est invisible, c’est Dieu, qu’il faut chercher dans une Création qui porte « peinte au vif son image »  mais qui masque en même temps le « visage » de la divinité : l’écriture de la Sepmaine repose ainsi tout entière sur la certitude fondamentale de l’existence d’un Dieu qui se rend « comme visible ès œuvres de ses mains » . Si le monde est donc bien l’objet constant de la description et de la construction poétiques, c’est Dieu qui est le véritable objet de la vision. Il est celui que le texte doit découvrir peu à peu pour en rendre manifeste la révélation.
Cet article se propose d'étudier comment, dans ce contexte,  la lumière se présente pour du Bartas à la fois comme l’un des éléments du monde qu’il s’est donné pour but de décrire, et comme l’un des outils métaphoriques qui vont lui permettre de mener son projet à bien.
