A pedagogical review on supersymmetry in quantum mechanis is presented which provides a comprehensive coverage of the subject. First, the key ingredients on the quantization of the systems with anticommuting variables are discussed. The supersymmetric Hamiltotian in quantum mechanics is then constructed by emphasizing the role of partner potentials and the superpotentials. We also make explicit the mathematical formulation of the Hamiltonian by considering in detail the N=1 and N=2 supersymmetric (quantum) mechanics. Supersymmetry is then discussed in the context of one-dimensional problems and the importance of the factorization method is highlighted. We treat in detail the technique of constructing a hierarchy of Hamiltonians employing the so-called ‘shape-invariance’ of potentials. ABSTRACT This paper applies the sensitivity factor method to the reactive power/voltage dispatch problem and combines it with the fast Newton-Raphson economic dispatch to solve the optimal power flow problem. The advantage of this method is that it is fast and reliable. Firstly, the real power generalized generation shift distribution (GGSD) factors are used in economic dispatch to find the real power generation for every unit so that the fuel cost is minimum. During the process of solving the economic dispatch problem, the voltage magnitudes of load buses in a power system may be changed and may exceed the ranges of secure values. Therefore, reactive power sensitivity factors of bus voltage magnitudes are used to regulate the voltage magnitudes of load buses to the secure ranges. The process is repeated to find the optimal generation with all voltages staying within the secure ranges. Results show that the algorithm converges very fast

we have obtained the analytical solution of Schrödinger wave equation with Mie – type potential using factorization method. We have also obtained energy eigenvalues of our potential and the corresponding wave function using an ansatz and then compare the result to standard Laguerre's differential equation. Under special cases our potential model reduces two well known potentials such as Coulomb and the Kratzer Feus potentials.

Depressed subjects are slower than normal controls in reaction time (RT) tasks. However, it is not clear whether depression affects all stages of information-processing or only some of them. In the present study, this question was addressed by using the additive factor method. Ten inpatients and ten control subjects performed a two-choice visual RT task. Stimulus intensity and stimulus-response compatibility were manipulated. The effect of intensity was similar in both groups whereas the effect of compatibility was larger for the patients than for the controls. This suggests that stimulus preprocessing is unaffected by depression whilst response selection is impaired.

Analytical expressions of the optical absorption coefficients and refractive index changes in a two-electron quantum dot with oscillating and linear confining terms are obtained by using compact-density matrix approach and exact analytical method. Numerical results on typical GaAs/AlGaAs materials show that, an increase of the confinements blueshifts the peak positions of absorption coefficients and refractive index changes. Additionally, an increase of the optical intensity and relaxation time considerably changes the absorption coefficients as well as the refractive index changes.
