un cadre plus souple permettrait une
compréhension plus fine des outils et
pratiques de gestion. Ainsi, cet article
vise à évaluer les apports de l’ethnicité
aux sciences de gestion via l’analyse de
vingt publications en contrôle. Ses
apports sont : une compréhension
accrue des outils et pratiques de
contrôle de gestion, un enrichissement
des modèles culturels utilisés en
sciences de gestion, et un cadre
conceptuel et méthodologique pour
étudier l’ethnicité.

Internet banking has the potential to provide fast and reliable services to customers for which they are relatively happy. Due to the technological changes taking place all over the world, many institutions, including the banking sector have taken giant steps to move in tandem with these changes. In this light most banks, with GCB Bank, Ghana, not being an exception have introduced electronic banking in order to decongest the banking halls of customers who spend time unending in order to transact business. The purpose of this research was to assess the Contribution of Electronic Banking to Customer Satisfaction at GCB Bank-Koforidua, to this end some objectives were set for the study. These were: To assess the availability of electronic banking facilities at GCB Bank, Koforidua. To assess the knowledge and patronage of internet banking services by customers, to examine the effectiveness of the usage of electronic banking facilities, to examine the problem facing an internet banking in GCB Bank, Koforidua. This is a quantitative study that employed the use of questionnaires as the main tools for data collection. Data was collected from management, staff and customers of GCB Bank, Koforidua Branch. Findings from analysis of data revealed that though there was the existence of internet banking facilities of the bank, respondents of the study were not fully aware of the existence of such facilities. It was also found that the use of internet banking was quite expensive and that though the bank was utilizing the facility, customers were not fully patronizing them. It was concluded that internet banking brings efficiency in the operations of the bank. Finally, the study recommended that all branches of GCB Bank adopt internet banking facilities to help in effective banking operations and transactional purposes. To maximize the operations and potential of the bank management must endeavor to educate the customers about the existence of internet banking facilities since a few customers were aware of the existence of such facilities.

This paper investigates the beginnings, performance setting, challenges and the benefits derived from the activities of Winneba Youth Choir in the socioeconomic development of Ghana. This descriptive qualitative study highlights how the activities of Winneba Youth Choir have yielded positive results in terms of employment, education and social recognition (identity) among the youth in Winneba and its environs. The paper addresses the need in preserving the authenticity of the choral musical Art as one of the avenues in developing the cultural values of an individual. It is therefore recommended that every youth experiences any of the musical arts in his/her lifetime.

enjeux liés à la production de connaissances
avec la grounded theory en contrôle de
gestion. La recherche est une étude bibliographique
confrontant les pratiques de la grounded
theory avec les recommandations de ses fondateurs
(Glaser et Strauss, 1967 ; Strauss et Corbin,
1998). Après avoir présenté les principes et usages
de la grounded theory, nous montrons la diversité
d’utilisation de cette méthodologie dans les
recherches en contrôle de gestion à travers onze
articles revendiquant ce positionnement.

Fish sanctuaries had been established by the coastal communities with the end view of sustainable use of coastal resources, restoring ecological balance and food security. A progressive environmental movement as a response to climate change at the village or grassroots level instituted among the coastal communities. This research undertaking presented the operations of selected fish sanctuaries in Cortes Surigao del Sur which was being evaluated in terms of organizational structure, funding, linkages and economic impact. Its economic contributions had been perused in terms of providing livelihood interventions, promotion of local tourism and employment generation. It also covered the challenges encountered in its operation and its proposed recommendations across the four sites which included the following Barangays or villages: Balibadon, Uba, Mabahin, and Burgos. The study used a universal sampling method with one hundred twenty (120) respondents with the researcher-made questionnaire as the main instrument which underwent validation by the panel of experts. Results showed that the organizational structure is very much suited to the four sites and addresses the challenges of the fish sanctuaries. The type of organizational structure of the fish sanctuary being voluntary in nature and quasi-bureaucratic honed further the voluntarism of its members in the operation. The challenges or problems included the following: illegal fishing in the fish sanctuary, lack of foreign tourists, and lack of tourism amenities like hotels, eatery and the like, the honorarium of the volunteers are meager or minimal. The linkages and funding of the four fish sanctuaries also considered Very Much Effective. This is due to the fact that it received assistance in its operation from the Local Government Unit of Cortes, technical and livelihood assistance from BFAR, NGP of DENR, DOLE and technical assistance for capacity building from the fish project, Green Mindanao, Rear Pride and Haribon foundation during the duration of their projects in the sites. The contributions of the fish sanctuaries to environmental conservation was deeply valued by the communities and its members. It provided sustainable use of coastal marine resources both as a utility or natural resource and as a popular mechanism or strategy in environmental preservation.

ABSTRACT The United Nation's millennium development goals (MDGs) are common objectives that provide a framework to meet the basic needs and rights of millions of people in the developing world. Eight goals with 18 targets and over 40 indicators will help to monitor and meet up with these goals. A target date of 2015 had been set for the world leaders to work towards. Forest management and conservation is central to the achievement of most of these goals. Forest reserves provide food and income, forest also play critical roles in sustaining the health of the environment by mitigating climate change, conserving biological diversity, maintaining clean and reliable water resources, controlling erosion, protecting agricultural soils, sustaining and changing land productivity, protecting coastal and marine resources, providing low cost and renewable energy, and enhancing the urban environment. The paper pointed out the need for forest development to be included in national budget in order to support the achievement of the MDGs. The need to extend the knowledge of forest reserves management and involve energy stakeholders in forest resources management were emphasized.

The objectives of this study were to investigate Engineering students' attitudes and problems in academic reading comprehension and to determine the contribution of academic reading attitude, breadth and depth of vocabulary knowledge to academic reading comprehension. The participants were 122 undergraduate students of Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology. The Vocabulary Levels Test, the Word Associates Test, a reading section of an academic IELTS sample followed by one open-ended question about reading problems, and an academic reading attitude survey were the instruments of this study. The results of the study showed that (a) the global value the learners placed on the academic reading was the most frequent factor in their attitude towards academic reading; (b) the breadth and depth of vocabulary knowledge were the statistically significant contributors to academic reading, while the contribution of attitude to academic reading was not statistically significant; and (c) 'weak vocabulary knowledge' was the most frequent problem reported by the learners.

The paper sought to establish the contribution of state-NGOs partnership in provision of farm inputs to agriculture sector development in West Pokot Sub County. The study adopted descriptive survey design. The study targeted 6 NGOs operating in West Pokot Sub County. The researcher selected 6 heads of NGOs as well as 10-line ministry staff purposively. From population of 1160 a total of 131 respondents were selected to participate in the study. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics; frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviation. Multiple regression analysis was used to determine influence of State-NGOs partnership on provision of farm inputs. The study established that state-NGOs partnership effectively contributed to sustainable agricultural development in West Pokot Sub County. This was through; distribution of adequate distribution of firm inputs to farmers and provision of quality seeds to farmers. State-NGOs partnership on provision of farm input significantly influence implementation of agricultural sector development in West Pokot Sub County. The study recommended that State-NGO partnership in provision of farm inputs should extent from providing inputs to subsistence farming to marketing of crops such as horticultural to enhance economic status of the households in the West Pokot Sub County.

An outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic is not only a recent viral health disease from China, but the world also experienced an emergency economic issue and which case reported more than two hundred regions. The purpose of this study to analyze the potential impact on an economic push of the epidemic, including financial deeds or economic growth, supply chain, foreign investment, currency exchange ratio, overseas contribution, and figure-out few dimensions. The article has been used to secondary data those recently published. In 2020 the International Monitory Fund predicts that world GDP will improve from 3.7% in 2019 to 9.9%. Include China, Europe, Asia, and the UK each indicated funding sectors for the population at >10% of their annual GDP growth. The study suggested that mitigation volume might be put in space for all; hope it will boost on decreasing the global economic challenges from this pandemic.

This paper evaluates the contribution of NGOs to the basic education sector in Far North Cameroon. This sector faces many problems due to lack of infrastructures, teachers and traditional skills, which do not favour the education of girls. Because of economic crises, successive Cameroonian governments since 1990 have been unable to fix the pro-blems in this sector. With all these difficulties, the Far North Region is lagging behind as far as education is concerned. The promotion of education for all as of 1990 and the political landscape that introduced freedom of association in Cameroon brought in new partners, inclu-ding NGOs. Purpose - This paper has a methodological purpose, as we are aiming to show how researchers have designed consistent qualitative research designs.

Design/methodology/approach - We borrow the conceptualisation of research design from philosophy of sciences, sociology of scientific knowledge and accounting research, and consider qualitative research a comprehensive coherent whole in which methodology choices must be consistent with ontological assumptions revealed in research questions and influencing epistemological stances. We evidence our claim through the bottom-up in-depth study of a research stream characterised by a form of homogeneity but revealing various designs.

Findings - The difference between streams lies in the intertwinement of research question formulation with ontological assumptions, epistemological stances and methodology choices.

Research limitations - This research is an ex post facto reading of prior works, whose authors would perhaps not recognise themselves. Interviewing them or calling them for reactions would reduce this limitation.

Practical implications - Emerging scholars and especially PhD students will be able to find ways of continuously questioning themselves to draw consistent and robust research designs.

Originality value – Tracing ontology, epistemology, methodology choices and contributions to scientific knowledge for existing publications was due to offer our colleagues a practical view of issues generally handled at an abstract level.

This article draws on the findings of the EU Framework 7 project DISCIT to explore the living situation of people with disabilities a decade after the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in nine European countries representing different welfare state models and different stages in the process of deinstitutionalisation. A review of the research literature, policy and available statistics was combined with interviews with key informants in each country to explore the current living situation, changes over time and the barriers to, and facilitators for change. The article focuses in particular on whether people are experiencing opportunities for social inclusion on an equal basis with others.
