Biophotons

Near­Death experiences (NDEs) and End of Life Experiences (ELEs) provides new insights into the nature of consciousness (mainly into its non­local and non­material aspects). Knowing the extent of implications these could have in the science of consciousness, numerous studies have been carried out to demystify the mechanisms and processes involved in the generation of NDEs and ELEs. One such phenomenon; well discussed in NDEs and ELEs literature, that received very less attention from the scientific community is malfunctioning of mechanical objects (such as clocks stopping, malfunctioning of TVs and other electronic devices, etc.) starting at the moment of death in the room of a dying person. On the other hand, there has been little evidence suggesting the bulk emission of biophotons during the time of devastation or death. Considering the results from few recent scientific investigations that demonstrate the role played by biophotons in triggering potential changes in the processing of mechanical objects, here we propose that specific mechanisms involving biophoton emission could probably be related to unexplainable phenomenon surrounding the moment of death. In this regard, the present note acts as a starting step and calls for more experimental investigations that could decode the mystery behind such events and thereby verify the present hypothesis.

The biological field concept has evolved from the times of Gurwitsch following several routes and modulations as a result of the conceptual and technological scientific advances in the course of history until the modern era. We will review the evolution of field concepts in biology and their supporting experimental evidence, reflecting a conceptual shift from linearity/reductionism to non-linearity/systems approach in biology, starting from the dilemma of Epicurus, through the controversies among mechanism-vitalism, preformism/epigenesis, particles/fields, and the contributions from thermodynamics of irreversible processes, quantum field theory and quantum optics, to the modern bioelectromagnetic field concepts able to integrate linear and non-linear functions in nature and account for the explanation and the emergence of self-organization. As evidenced from the exponentially growing number of publications, research groups and conferences dedicated to the subject, the Arrow of Time has given birth to a fast evolving scientific field that unites being with becoming, and particles with fields. The biological field concept has enriched Self-Organization Theory with the notion of Coherence, declaring that cooperativity, irreversibility and probability are intrinsic properties of Nature at all levels, from atoms and nuclei to our everyday life up to the cosmological scale. These investigations represent a continuation of the dialogue about Time and Change, and provide an evolutionary view of Nature which goes beyond a mechanical timeless automaton as also beyond a meaningless random game, where biological processes no longer need to be based on the dichotomy between a transcendental controlling principle and a mechanically controlled inert organism.

Both human and non-human living organisms have traditionally been viewed and studied as material organisms. Within this context, life has been defined by the biochemical processes that sustain the living organisms, while mind and consciousness have been relegated to functions within the brain. Yet the body is just a complex pattern of energetic material particle exchanges to physicists when compared to the biochemical processes studied by chemists and biologists. As the scientific view of life has expanded beyond these early limits, new research has centered more upon the electric, magnetic and electromagnetic characteristics of living material bodies as well as the brain, but the overall concept of life has not kept pace or changed at all. Once these new research efforts have been taken into account, it is easy to demonstrate that life, or rather the “living force” as it was once called, can be equated to the overall matter/energy pattern of the organism, while mind and consciousness can be equated to the electric and magnetic counterparts of the matter/energy pattern of living organisms. Doing so does nothing to disrupt or disturb the current thinking that the ‘process of life’ is purely biochemical. In fact, all living organisms, from the simplest one-celled organism to the most complex living organism known, a human,  are extremely complex material/energy patterns (comprising the structural and biochemical body) superposed by the extremely complex electric (electromagnetic scalar potential) field patterns and magnetic (electromagnetic vector potential) field patterns that constitute minds and consciousness. As humans, we may have the most complex and advanced mind and consciousness, but all other living organisms display mind and consciousness at various lower levels than our human mind and consciousness. The brain alone should no longer be considered the sole source and home of mind and consciousness. Mind and consciousness have mistakenly become associated with the brain and no other part of the body because of the dense concentration of neurons in the brain, a fact which can only be understood by studying the electric and especially the magnetic characteristics of the neuron. A strict study of the magnetic (electromagnetic vector potential) field patterns associated with neurons and neural nets demonstrates how thoughts and streams of thought originate in the brain and are stored magnetically at and within the points in space-time occupied by the brain and body. Microtubules, which act as magnetic induction coils, are the primary structural bio-unit used for building, storing and retrieving memories in the mind. In a very strict sense of the concepts, mind and consciousness could be considered a mixed four-dimensional electric-magnetic potential field holographic body that maintains a semi-independent existence with the material/energy field or structural/biochemical body of every living organism. The consequences of this physical model of mind and consciousness are revolutionary and imply a physical basis for (Darwinian) evolution as well as simple explanations of many paranormal phenomena, including the survival of mind and consciousness after death of the material body.

If the Biofield is a true physical field, it must be fundamental to the very structure of physical reality, but the Biofield (LIFE or that which goes beyond the normal biologically explained living system) does not have a specific force associated with it as do other physical fields. Life evolved from chemical reactions that depended upon the four natural forces which were already in place before life evolved, so there must be more to LIFE than these simple known physical forces. LIFE (the Biofield) has the structural qualities of a field, but it is passive, not dynamically active like gravity, electricity and magnetism, so LIFE is either a structural entity or a fundamental construction within the very fabric of physical reality. Under these circumstances, LIFE (the Biofield) can be equated to the matter/energy field in a type of quantized space-time continuum, MIND to the corresponding electric field and CONSCIOUSNESS to the resulting magnetic field. The Biofield must be a product or an extension of if not a specific structural configuration within a five-dimensional single unified field that combines gravity and electromagnetism. As such, the Biofield can be easily described by a modified Einstein-Kaluza five-dimensional model that describes our experiential quantized space-time continuum.

A presente comunicação investiga o acoplamento entre plantas e sistemas artificiais no contexto da arte sob a filosofia dos objetos técnicos desenvolvida por Gilbert Simondon. O foco de nosso trabalho é posto sobre o pro- cesso de invenção de objetos técnicos para argumentar que a obra de arte, quando resultante desse processo, ressona ao artista e ao observador como um nó de siner- gias existentes. Tais sinergias, emergentes dos acopla- mentos entre diversos sistemas (o sistema mental do ar- tista, do observador e o sistema da obra), são mantidas por ligações afetivas. Argumentamos que estes sistemas têm suas camadas de indeterminação e complexidade expandidas quando organismos naturais, como plantas, são hibridizados a eles.

The aim of this work is identification and localisation of the interaction between mind and matter, specifically with respect to random number generators, and identification of the type of energy that can alter the degree of randomness of bit-string outputs of these electronic devices.
Regarding localisation of the mind/random-number-generator interaction, we believe it occurs through the production of electron+gap pairs in the inversely polarised P-N junction of the Zener diode that is used as a white noise generator, with resulting peaks of non-random current.
Conversely, regarding the type of energy acting on the analogue signal, we believe it is made of photons of wavelength ranging from 0.2 to 1.1 μm, each therefore carrying an energy of between 6.2 and 1.14 eV.
The most controversial part concerns the means by which the human mind can produce this type of energy from a distance to act directly on a chosen target, in that it is not possible for it to have been emitted by either the body or brain as biophotons.

Generation of microbubble has wide range of applications in the fields of pharmacology, medicine, food
industry and material science. Recent researches show that, microbubble can be utilized for controlled drug
delivery system in the affected cells and tissues. Cavitation process of microbubble can help in
transportation of external substances across biological barriers by orders of magnitude over diffusive
transport which can eventually create a platform for effective drug delivery into the targeted cells. Here, we
are working on the generation of cavitation process of microbubble through photothermal effect on
nanoporous gold disc (NPGD).

This paper presents an automate measurement system for acquisition of electrical field used for estimation of reverberation chamber performance. The positioning system used to capture the field within predefined points is made to be a low-cost and short time consuming. The quality factor is used for evaluation of the quality of the reverberation chamber. A Matlab interface was built to provide the interoperability between the measurement and data processing. An almost flat stirrer is used to homogenize the electric field inside the chamber, which coupled on the motor shaft is controlled via computer/Arduino. The results show that the realized measurement system can handle a stirrer of 500 g weight with the deviation angle of 1.5o. In addition, one can observe a better homogenization of the field using the quality factor metric when comparing measurements in continuous rotation and stepwise rotation.

Visible range photon signals emitted after applying five concentrations of hydrogen peroxide (H 2 O 2 ) on both sides of the left hand were measured and called response signals. Their quantum nature was ascertained in two analyses. The first analysis determined decay parameters of signals in two models - quantum and two exponential decays - and checked the robustness of decay parameters. The analysis established hyperbolic decay of response signals and showed that signals were in evolving squeezed states. The second analysis split response signal in small sections and determined the properties of the signal in each section from mean, variance and photon count distribution in the section. The properties showed that every section was a high strength biophoton signal having a core quantum component in squeezed state and a peripheral classical component. The properties further suggested the involvement of same or similar quantum entities in the emission of response and biophoton signals.
