In this research, the writer will be focus on analyzing the women representation through the cover magazine and its content. All of the discussion will be related to the feminism issue. To reveal this issue, the writer observes through the whole part of this magazine, from cover to content. In the cover, the authors analyzed only by giving her own interpretations that associated with emerging issue. While in the content section of the magazine, the author uses pattern four code from McRobbie about the Ideology of teenage femininity and connects it with the issue as well. The codes that is used itself are code of romance, code of personal/domestic life, code of fashion and beauty, code of music. Moreover, from this analysis, it will give the reader a new understanding about the women representation in the magazine recently. It also can lead the reader to be an active reader to think critically about how media using its language to attract people and also how women represented in the media.

RESUMEN
El presente trabajo consiste en una revisión crítica de la estética de Theodor W. Adorno que se propone, por un lado, brindar una lectura que rescate sus aspectos aún actuales para el análisis del arte contemporáneo, haciendo hincapié principalmente en tres de ellos: la interdependencia entre crítica y filosofía del arte, la negatividad y la doble caracterización del arte como autónomo y fait social. Por otro lado, se señalan también sus limitaciones, centrándose en la consideración de la filosofía de la música de Adorno, en especial en lo referido a su visión negativa de la "música baja" de su tiempo, identificada con los productos de la industria cultural. Contra la perspectiva totalizante de Adorno, se ofrecerá, en este sentido, una valoración alternativa mediante el análisis de ciertos movimientos del pop y el jazz a la luz de reflexiones de Diedrich Diederichsen y Angela McRobbie e incluso de algunas consideraciones marginales del mismo Adorno.

ABSTRACT

This work consists in a critical revision of Adorno’s Aesthetics which intends, on the one hand, to give a reading of it able to rescue its up-to-date aspects, focusing on three of them: the interdependence between art criticism and philosophy of art, negativity and the double characterization of art as autonomous and fait social. On the other hand, the analysis points out Adorno’s Aesthetics blind spots, concentrating on his philosophy of music, especially on his negative view on “low music” of his days, which he identified with cultural industry products. Against Adorno’s totalizing viewpoint,
this work offers an alternative evaluation through the consideration of certain pop and jazz movements in the light of some Diedrich Diederichsen and Angela McRobbie’s insights, and even some marginal notes of Adorno himself.

We are living in an age of crisis—or an age in which everything is labeled a crisis. Financial, debt, and refugee “crises” have erupted. The word has also been applied to the Arab Spring and its aftermath, Brexit, the 2016 U.S. election, and many other international events. Yet the term has contradictory political and strategic meanings for those challenging power structures and those seeking to preserve them. For critics of the status quo, can the rhetoric of crisis be used to foment urgency around issues like climate change and financialization, or does framing a situation as a “crisis” play into the hands of the existing political order, which then seeks to tighten the leash by creating a state of emergency?

Critical Theory at a Crossroads presents conversations with prominent theorists about the crises that have marked the past years, the protest movements that have risen up in response, and the use of the term in political discourse. More specifically, as the world is still coming to terms with the massive and diverse consequences of the pandemic, this coda aims to provide a brief overview of the ways in which theorists and writers have attempted to describe the experience and impact of the pandemic, whether in opinion pieces, short blog posts or in novels. Following the views of Lauren Berlant, these attempts at rendering the impact of the pandemic in a narrative form can be regarded as a way to affectively cope with the pandemic.
