The paper has been drafted to critically evaluate the heart of darkness and it portrays of Africa and Africans. It has considered Chinua Achebe's criticism of the novel as a means for "dehumanization of Africa and Africans." For the critical evaluation of the assertion different perspective has been taken. The novel has been critically evaluating from the perspective of the Chinua Achebe and other writers. In the later section, the writing of Conrad has been evaluated based on the circumstances and the perspective of that era. Lastly, the assertion has been evaluated based on the period of critics like Chinua Achebe. Reading and evaluating the work of Conrad in the 21 st century is itself a different perspective. When the novel has been published, no critic has pointed out that it's writing to the dehumanization of Africa and Africans. However, in 1902, "An Image of Africa" has been evolved. The critics like Chinua Achebe know that its perspective will be well understood in that period. Though the meaning of the words remains the same the ideas that had been construed from it have to keep on changing based on the period and the circumstances of that era.

There is a growing interest in social responsibility of the corporations among academicians and practitioners. Companies now are not only expected to be responsible to their shareholders but to society in general. Universities, as the centers of knowledge generation and sharing, play a very important role in solving world’s problems by ensuring a sustainable tomorrow. However, it is questionable whether world leading universities are concerned about CSR and if they do, to what extent they are committed to their social responsibilities. This research elaborates on this issue by exploring the website content and annual reports of the world top 10 universities. The findings of this research show that world leading universities are committed to their social responsibility and they provide sufficient information on most of the core areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

One of the major problems currently facing satellite-based positioning is the atmospheric refraction of the GPS signal caused by the troposphere. The tropospheric effect is much more pronounced at the equatorial region due to its hot and wet conditions. This affects the GPS signal due to the variability of the refractive index, which in turn affects the positional accuracy, especially in the height components. This paper presents a study conducted in the Southern Peninsular Malaysia located at the equatorial region, to investigate the impact of tropospheric delay on GPS height variation. The study investigated the extent of implementation of basic education policy in Anambra State secondary schools: Towards national cohesion and global competitiveness. It adopted a descriptive survey design. Two research questions guided the study. The population of the study comprised 257 principals and 3,029 junior secondary school teachers in the six education zones in Anambra State. All the principals were used because of their small size while 780 teachers were selected using stratified sampling technique. An instrument constructed by researcher, titled: Basic Education Policy Questionnaire (BEPQ) was used for data collection.
