The relationship between the Bible and Children in Africa is a topic of highest relevance. This book is treating it in two main perspectives which often are intertwined: | The exegetical perspective “Children in the Bible” is dealing with the concepts of childhood in biblical texts, asking for example: How are children conceived in different texts. What is their status in family, society and church? What is their relation to God? What is the metaphoric use of childhood in biblical soteriology? What is the function and meaning of calling adult persons “children” (of God, or of the Apostle)? | The contextual perspective “African children of today and the Bible” is dealing with the different life settings African children find themselves in and how the Bible is present in these life settings. Here the questions for example are: What is the status of children in family and society? How are traditional concepts of childhood changing under the conditions of poverty, HIV/AIDS and violence? How are the ideas and ideals of childhood influenced by the Bible? What is the role of the Bible in child-education? Can children’s rights be established with help of the Bible? This volume of BiAS 17 is collecting the papers presented at the 2012 BiAS meeting in Gaborone, Botswana, with some additional contributions.
This article contributes to the development of an African Child 2 Theology and will attend to the implications of Together towards Life (TTL) 3 and Evangelii Gaudium (EG) 4 for an African Child Theology. The article wants to answer the following question: What theological understanding is needed to indicate the distinct contribution of the African childto the understanding of the revelation history of God? The history of Christian mission, especially in Africa, has been characterised by conceptions of geographical expansion from a Christian centre, namely Europe, to the " unreached territories " (cf TTL 5). In the new understanding and new generation of mission, the church must focus on marginalised children as " unreached territories " , an essential group through which God conveys his love to the world. In developing an African Child Theology, consideration must be given to applicable and relevant statements in TTL and EG. We live in a world with many spirits (TTL 25), where people are looking for joy, not as a relationship from within, but in " the feverish pursuit of frivolous pleasures, and a blunted conscience " (EG 2). Within African The-ologies, we concur with TTL (23) on " our spiritual connection with creation ". These three statements imply some specific African contextual considerations for a child theology. A classic understanding defines theology as a " faith seeking understanding ". In the African church, Father Augustine's understanding takes the form, " I believe in order that I may understand " (Migliore 2014:2). It is in this regard that the article will look at African Child Theology as seeking a deeper understanding of God's revelation through the hermeneutical lens of the African child.

The proposal is to examine the practice of anthropological expertise in Chile, particularly in the south of the country, through the history of its use associated with the emergence of the legal doctrine of "cultural defense". Through the elaboration of statistics, a characterisation of its use is established in as well as the evolution of its demand, while the study of two cases provides a better understanding of its scope and limits, in particular how the use of anthropological expertise is conditioned by the logic of the legal culture, including extra-legal factors such as: the permanence of monoculturalism in the legal culture, devaluation of anthropological knowledge as scientific, economic rationality regarding the use of anthropological expertise according to the risk of penalty.
