ABSTRACT: Coturniculture has been promising, progressing from a subsistence to a technical activity due to its quick production, low breeding investment, and rapid economic return. After the restriction of antimicrobials as growth promoters, some studies aimed to evaluate alternative products that would make the farming of healthy birds viable without impacting their performance, with commercial Macleaya cordata extract being one of these substitutes. The functions of the gastrointestinal tract are coordinated mainly by the enteric nervous system, and the myenteric plexus is responsible for the reflex control of contractile activities of the external muscles. Thus, this study located and demonstrated the distribution of the myenteric plexus, quantifing the total population of myenteric neurons (Giemsa+) and the subpopulation of myenteric nitrergic neurons (NADPH-d+), and evaluated the effects of commercial Macleaya cordata extract on these populations of quail jejunum neurons. A tot...

Behaviour of Concrete and Steel for the Construction of Storage Tanks: Comparative Study2021 •
The demographic growth and economic development are two main factors which create more demand for energy reserve production in petrochemical industry. Under such circumstances, an increase in the volume and quantity of storage tanks has become must due to the their importance in preventing harms and risks by storing large volumes of flammable, explosive, toxic and harmful materials, that is why many researchers are orientating themselves in research projects of materials for the construction of storage tanks with good quality and with the cheapest. In this article, we show the different thermo-mechanical behaviors of the two materials which are concrete and steel so that the constructors can make the most adequate choice for their needs (storage conditions, temperature, pressure, etc…), especially since each of these materials has specific characteristics that can influence the types of tanks as well as the storage modes.
Establishing the metabolism pathway of the drug undergoing the hepatic biotransformation pathway is one of the most important aspects in the preclinical discovery process since the presence of toxic or reactive metabolites may result in drug withdrawal from the market. In this study, we present the structural elucidation of six, not described yet, metabolites of an antipsychotic molecule: molindone. The elucidation of metabolites was supported with a novel photocatalytical approach with the use of WO3 and WS2 assisted photochemical reactions. An UHPLC-ESI-Q-TOF combined system was used for the registration of all obtained metabolite profiles as well as to record the high resolution fragmentation spectra of the observed transformation products. As a reference in the in vitro metabolism simulation method, the incubation with human liver microsomes was used. Chemometric comparison of the obtained profiles pointed out the use of the WO3 approach as being more convenient in the field of ...

A Novel Approach to Treatment of the Damaged Lung Parenchyma in the Bullous Emphysema-Affected Patient2020 •
Building on the recommendations of Janssen and colleagues it is herewith proposed that copper-heparin therapy is a potential treatment in the emphysema affected patient (2019). The novelty of the Cu-heparin inhalation approach is that it targets an underlying casual factor of emphysema. A solid basis for successful treatment of lung parenchyma damage, is the combination of external facilitation of elastic tissue repair, along with cessation of exposure to toxic irritants. Administration of the copper-heparin complex via inhalation therapy, would provide a cost-effective and practical non-invasive treatment for emphysema. In contrast to current practice (i.e. lung resection or transplant), this is a highly desirable therapeutic approach.

Indonesian Student Perception in Digital PaymentThe trend of using digital payment in Indonesia is increasing every year. Most people have been felt the benefit of Digital Payment service. This research provide perspective about awareness, perceptions and preferences of students in Indonesia towards digital payment-based payment system. This quantitative research involved 104 students from various universities in Indonesia. The information collected by a questionnaire and was analyzed by descriptive statistical techniques. The result of this study indicate that the awareness of students in Indonesia about digital payment services is very high. The convenience of using this service, the availability of services, discounts and reward points are the main factors that influence them in choosing digital payment service. This research also show that the majority of students prefer to continue using digital payment service. The results of this study can be useful for digital payment service provider in order to increase service satisfac...
The recycling of demolition waste is essential to lower the construction sectors primary material demand, responsible for 50% of the global primary material consumption. Almost all demolition waste is used as filler material for the construction of roads, preventing further reuse or recycling after this application. The built environment generates considerable annual material in-and outflows. However, there has been little discussion on the availability and further application of this potential supply of secondary materials as a replacement for primary materials. In this study, we quantify the percentage of demolition waste that can be repurposed as secondary materials in the Dutch construction sector. We analyzed the yearly building material flows for the municipality of Leiden using municipal data on demolition and construction to explore the viability of the Dutch government’s policy goal to reduce primary materials consumption by 50% before 2030. From this analysis, we find that...

This study sought to determine what makes young Filipina happy. This study was conducted in a University in Northern Philippines whereby descriptive survey design was utilized with 691 female teenagers as respondents. The Myerrs-Briggs Type Indicator a standardized personality test coupled with structured questionnaire were the main data gathering instruments. Document analysis was also used in obtaining profile data. Findings revealed that majority of the young Filipinas are extraverts, and majority of their mothers are housekeepers. Feeling of belongingness, contentment and appreciation, and family-related activities and concerns such as bonding with family, love of and for family make Filipina happiest. Among the three sources (people, things, activities) of happiness, the ultimate source of happiness of a young Filipina is “people” whereby their mother, father, siblings, friends and boyfriend/girlfriend are the top five happiness-provider. The findings indicate that young Filipi...

As tourism is the fastest growing sectors of the global economy, environmental quality acquires a decisive role in sustainable tourism development. Tourism, like any activity, has environmental impacts that directly or indirectly affect and alter the resources that make up the tourism product. Adoption of the principles of sustainable development is essential in tourism since the protection and safeguarding of environmental quality is a prerequisite for the development and maintenance of tourism activity. Environmental management systems and ecolabel scan help business to minimize their environmental impact and furthermore to set a communication channel between actors. Also, may inform customers of new green features of tourism services, on in a visual way. The paper highlights the role of environmental certification in protecting and upgrading tourism product.
