Orff Approach (Orff-Schulwerk) stands with its specific views and principles among the notable basic music education methods. Orff Approach is entirety of pedagogical ideas, arising from the concept of elemental music. It has flexible structure appropriate for development and change thanks to this aspect. This structure enables the approach to be adapted to different cultures. However, trouble of material and method to be used in education arises at this point. Despite the fact that Orff Approach is known in our country for many years, after a while it turned into ?Music Education with Use of Orff Instruments?, and it started to hold place with its ?real essence and state? within educational life in mid 1990?s. When considering a few academic studies conducted, it can be seen that the issue was widely dealt with the instrumental dimension. Nonetheless, during the preliminary study conducted before this research, no comprehensive studies were come across that of which focus it the co...

Abstract In this study, taking into account the Orff level courses participants from Turkey who has taken the 3 years and 3 levels Orff-Schulwerk or elemental music and movement education process between 2016 and 2018 have been examined and analyzed for how to run how to make this experience better. In addition, Orff-Schulwerk, as the elementary music and movement trainer in the work to be done with different target groups, it was analyzed which method (dance/movement, instrument playing, elementary music, body percussion, singing, etc.) is more appropriate and the reasons are stated. Studies of elementary music and movement education perceptions in Turkey are primarily mentioned through the samples. Then the answers to questions for elementary music and movement education in Turkey, why, how, where and whether to whom should be given; how music and movement can be combined together have been analyzed. In Turkey, the problems of rhythmic articulation and reading a solfegé / rhythmic notes in basic music education is not being evaluated enough in detail. The problem can be solved if the music educators can decide which type of music education approach or method they should use properly. The rhythm of numbers such as 1,2,3,4; 1 & 2 etc. can be used to gain rhythmic articulation skills in music education. However, the C. Orff music pedagogy, Z. Kodaly and the followers focus on primarily the rhythm of the words. In the sample activities, the words like syllable’s, names, colors are being used while syllable’s or words are counting with the body percussion or non-percussion. In addition counting the musical words with the body percussion or by the rhythm of the words, the psychomotor, verbal and auditory skills and many sensory organs are being used together. In the world and also in Turkey the basic music education should be given with the elementary music and movement education. In Europe countries (Austria, Hungary, Finland, England, and Scotland etc.) and the some America states Orff Music pedagogy and Kodaly method is being using actively. Even if not every stage of education but music and movement education should be analyzed. If the analyzes are qualitative, the observations made during the application should be noted. Based on these notes, descriptive research should be conducted. It is important to prepare a report on why, why, and for whom the study should be conducted. In the content of the report, speech, singing (rhythmic and melodic studies), the use of elementary instruments and dance should be the artistic presentation of the parameters such as.Research and experience must not be limited to experiences from places such as social networking sites (youtube, facebook, etc.). Quantitative analyzes of music and movement training can also be realized. The analysis of music and movement training has not been done in the past properly, but today it can done through technological advances.

Music Education as a Hegemonic Tool in Turkey and its Canonical Discourses Abstract Music education was the most important instrument of the music policies of the Republican era which had historical continuity with the Westerni
