Este artigo pretende, de forma concisa, circunscrever a condicao tragica do homem. Deu-se andamento as reflexoes por meio das evidencias miticas do principio, em um mundo homogeneo, e como se conquistou a solidao da individualidade pela produtividade do espirito. Tendo em vista que a religiao e sintoma do tragico, pensou-se a transformacao operada na religiosidade do mundo arcaico ao dominio cristao, bem como a necessidade do surgimento das demais instituicoes: a palavra, a cidadania e a democracia como basicas a tal reformulacao, fundamentalmente a ideia que se tem de Deus. A questao crucial que permeou as reflexoes foi o avanco da racionalidade ate ao racionalismo em detrimento, como se defendeu, a nossa natureza irracional. Por fim, refletiu-se o retorno do tragico na pos-modernidade, conforme vicejava no mundo arcaico, por meio de um enfoque na sabedoria tragica, tal como se identificou na filosofia nietzschiana.

situations, caused by a problem of cultural
identification. The characters, in this case, keep
typical characteristics of culture, which Mário de
Andrade called brazilian cultural constancy
contacted. The narrator, in turn, also achieves
specificity of typical Brazilian. We present the core
of the plot, the unusual situation of teacher of love
and non-recognition of cultural elements, in the
case of the loving practice. The love of love,
identified by Denis de Rougemont in Tristan and
Isolde, serves to counteract the loving couple's
relationship from the novel by Mário de Andrade.
