YouTube Kids serves as a dynamic and user-friendly resource for young learners to learn English. Its extensive library of instructional materials, which includes captivating animations and interactive movies, provides a rich and varied learning environment. Through the integration of play and exploration into language study, YouTube Kids creates a comfortable and engaging atmosphere that allows kids to improve their English language skills at their own pace. In this research article, a narrative literature review was employed as a qualitative methodology. Based on the gathered relevant literature, YouTube Kids presented such positive and negative impacts as a channel for English language acquisition. YouTube Kids is indeed a beneficial tool for young learners who are trying to learn English, but at the same time, it does have some potential disadvantages, as some videos may not employ the same standard or correctness of English, which could expose kids to improper grammar or pronunciation. Parents and teachers need to carefully select and keep an eye on the content their kids watch to ensure that their children's YouTube Kids content supports their language learning objectives. Through careful supervision and curation, parents and educators may maximize the usefulness of the site as a medium for teaching young learners English language skills while also minimizing any potential downsides.

Literature circles create an interactive and participatory learning atmosphere that greatly increases student participation in the classroom. Through literature circles, students can exchange ideas and gain knowledge from one another in a nurturing learning atmosphere. Students feel more at ease taking chances and voicing their opinions in the classroom when there is a strong sense of community among the students. This research study used a narrative literature review as a qualitative method. Relevant literature in this review showed that literature circles can increase students' reading passion and enthusiasm. Students are more likely to be engaged when they can select their own reading materials and facilitate discussions. Thus, by implementing literature circles, teachers may create a more engaging and encouraging learning environment in the classroom, which will ultimately improve student performance and foster a deeper understanding of literature.

The OpenAI-created ChatGPT, which uses artificial intelligence (AI), is widely used in several industries, including education. Likewise, the roll-out of ChatGPT has shown how this AI technology may supplement, and in certain situations even replace, human labor in certain job-related activities and duties. This narrative literature review unlocks the opportunities and challenges of using ChatGPT tools for educational services, considering the related articles discussed in this article. This narrative literature review employed an integrated study of existing literature to identify research gaps, summarize a body of literature, and form conclusions about a subject. It has been found that ChatGPT can be helpful but should be introduced into the classroom carefully and, therefore, not a replacement for learning, as with any new tools. Teachers and students must consider equity, ethics, and plagiarism if they incorporate AI technology into their outputs. It is critical to see ChatGPT as an adjunct tool that improves and enriches the learning process rather than as a substitute for conventional teaching approaches. This technology can improve teaching and learning while creating new educational opportunities when used ethically and under close supervision.

"Deepfake" refers to the complex processing of audiovisual content using generative adversarial networks (GANs) and other deep learning methods. It enables the smooth superimposition of one person's face or voice over another, producing remarkably lifelike fake films or images. However, the online distribution of the modified images could result in major moral, ethical, and legal issues if misused. This rapid literature review aimed to establish a clear perspective regarding deepfake digital face manipulation. The paper emphasized the potential risks of this technology while also discussing the benefits of looking into deepfakes. The study contributes to the field's understanding. It addresses the abuse of deepfake technology by offering insights into the most current advancements in identifying and creating manipulated facial images. Strict ethical standards and rules regulating its application must be developed to maximize its potential. To maximize the benefits and minimize the risks of this technology, a multifaceted strategy that considers ethical concerns, legal frameworks, technological innovation, and public awareness is necessary. With the development of AI-driven detection systems, the adverse effects of modified content on both people and society can be addressed.

The COVID-19 epidemic has made it more thought-provoking for students to learn in higher education institutions. Therefore, it seems that Quipper is an e-learning platform solution that encompasses a ready-to-use online learning management system (LMS) in addition to video lectures, study materials, and assessments. Quipper is a straightforward yet powerful LMS that millions of users utilize all over the world. It is an online resource that is frequently updated to give teachers, students, and parents the best possible experience. With the support of this descriptive correlational study, it was possible to establish a significant correlation between Quipper usage and efficacy among BSED-English students in the New Normal and academic success. The results showed that the two variables do, in fact, have a strong association, with a relationship value of 0.59 and a significance value of 0.00043. Since students can access courses and assessments whenever they want, have a gamified learning experience, and repeat lessons until they are proficient, it is strongly advised that teachers use Quipper LMS successfully. In order for students to understand an individualized learning area, teachers and the academic institution must also be sensitive to and responsive to their strengths and problems.

Adults who engage in systematic bodily activity at a moderate or higher intensity for 150 minutes or more per week are connected with various health advantages. A descriptive correlational research design method examined the association between maintaining physical exercise and self-determination. The results showed that maintaining physical exercise vs selfdetermination produces an R-value of 0.830, which is significant. The p-value of 0.001, which was below the 0.05 level of significance, is what caused the outcome. This resulted in the conclusion that the null hypothesis was rejected, according to which there was no meaningful connection between maintaining physical activity and self-determination. This suggests a strong link between maintaining physical activity and P.E. self-determination. since the pvalue is below the 0.05 level of significance (0.001) for students at UMTC. Given how vital the student-teacher relationship is to the student's academic success, school officials are strongly encouraged to think about strategies to strengthen it. Additionally, as they are the second group of educators to introduce their students to the academic world, teachers should take the initiative in supporting their student's academic endeavors. The study suggests learners should have good teacher-student interaction to succeed in all areas. Additionally, educators ought to have reasonable expectations for their student's achievement.

The main emphasis of this study is junior high school students learning interest in social studies. 14 junior high school students who attended Carmen National High School and were chosen by purposive sampling participated in in-depth interviews and focus groups. To comprehend the perceptions and experiences of the pupils, a phenomenological technique was adopted in this study. According to the survey, social studies students typically struggle to express their ideas, beliefs, and concepts in the way they would like. These junior high school students accepted these challenges and sought help from their teachers despite the obstacles in learning. They develop greater self-direction, optimism, and zeal for learning to overcome their lack of interest in the topic. The researchers advise that participation must be encouraged for each student to feel like a vital component of the process. Additionally, administrators should organize seminars, workshops, or other professional development opportunities for instructors to engage kids in all areas, not just social studies. With the help of the seminar workshops, they could their areas of strength and weakness.

English proficiency needs to be essential for academic achievement. The quality of English instruction in high schools is closer to that of a primary school, which is insufficient to enable students to advance academically on their own. Thus, English proficiency is considered as part of the weighted process. This is a descriptive correlational study designed to find a significant relationship between junior high school students' English proficiency and academic achievement. Results showed that there is indeed a great correlation between the two variables in the study with a p-value of 0.00776, hence the null hypothesis was hereby rejected. With this, the findings could serve as guidance for English teachers in terms of data on the degree of students' language proficiency and academic success. Students are likewise urged to look into other elements such as learning styles, instructional approaches, education-learning technologies, exposure to the English language, as well as other contextual and environmental factors that may influence students' academic achievement and English proficiency. Following these recommendations would not only benefit schools by satisfying the demands and expectations of students while simultaneously improving the institutions' overall retention and school academic rates.

There is a plethora of reasons for why exposure to misspelled words has a great stimulus on learners' capacity to integrate orthographic information, predominantly in this time where electronic communication is growing. Mobile phones, online gaming, text messaging, and social media are just a few of the communication technology advancements that are opening up new channels for social engagement and contact. The descriptive correlation study is aimed to determine the significant relationship between text messaging and orthographic processing of BS-Criminology Students at University of Mindanao Tagum College. The results revealed that there is a great correlation between the two variables with a p-value of 0.0051. The evidence supporting the claim that text messaging has a negative influence on language abilities and orthographic processing has been transparent and observable at some point or occasion. With this, teachers and students take on particular identities and roles in their interactions with one another, which aids in the development of their conceptions of what learning is as a process and as a body of knowledge through implementing the suggested speaking improvement exercises created by the researcher, and so the students will be equipped to use the language appropriately at any occasions.

The importance of a student's soft skills communication in language learning, particularly in their cognitive development, cannot be overstated. These skills, in turn, provide the groundwork for the development of other characteristics related to students' personal and career development. The descriptive correlational study aimed to verify the significant relationship between soft skills communication and cognitive development of the First-year Purposive Communication students. The findings revealed that there is a very high level of soft skills communication with a mean of 4.35. While cognitive development has a mean score of 4.44 which entails a very high distinction. On the other hand, when it comes to determining the significant relationship, it was found that there is indeed a great connection between the two variables with a relationship value of 0.51 while its significance has a value of 0.0000000867. As a result, it is suggested that soft skills communication will have the same impact on student's cognitive development. The findings of this study show that each student's soft skills communication attribute is distinctive, and it can be improved by applying the lessons learned in ways that promote cognitive development, such as providing performance-based, outcomes-based, and other related and appropriate activities that require them to apply what they've learned. Further, based on the findings, it is recommended that this soft skills communication be extended and developed to other English subjects in the higher education curriculum, particularly the syllabus and assessment to use, to achieve higher cognition.

In the academics, it is widely agreed that today's education is based on an obsolete concept that dates back to the "Industrial Revolution". Slow institutes and slow education can relate to several moralistic elements. This paper meant to describe Warner's article entitled, "Why are Schools Slow to Change?" as to how schools should take action by recognizing the clients and the rapidly transforming world when in it comes to education. Schools constantly rearranged the 'deck chairs' in responding to social, technical, and economic developments in our civilization. World Economic Forum (2017) stated that to solve these issues, conventional means, strategies, and organizations are inadequate. Having new information, perspectives, discourse, resources, actions, and teamwork are all required for transformation. Thus, academic institutions must take immediate action by acknowledging their students and the fast-changing social and cultural contexts.

Nowadays, the significance of education as an act or mechanism of societal innovation and evolution is universally acknowledged. This paper opens the idea of social change. Education has already been recognized as a primary form of social action, with educators and curriculum organizations serving as social agents. By transforming people's views and perceptions to the traditional approach, education can help through developing a safer, brighter, and much more prosperous world and hence promote sustainability. While we take any action, we must first identify and understand the purpose and responsibility of education. As a result, this will be critical for human progress towards becoming successful and responsible citizen.

Engagement and interaction with another interlocutor (perhaps a more competent one, such as a teacher or native speaker) especially in the pandemic is believed to enable the student to express and respond with any challenges presented by the input. Opportunities for English learning are developed as a result of this approach. The descriptive correlational study designed to confirm the significant relationship between language learning opportunities and English language competence of First Year BS-Criminology students under the New Normal Setting. The results shown that there is a very high level of language learning opportunities with a mean of 4. 49. While the English language competence has a mean score of 4. 47 which entails very high distinction. Meanwhile, when it comes to confirming the significant relationship, it was found out that there is indeed a great association between the two variables with a relationship value of 0.55 while its significance has a value of 0.00693. With this, it is recommended that students must have opportunities to acquire the language in all circumstances and contexts in order to improve their proficiency. Teachers, family, and peers play a much larger role in the process. Exposure to English input through speaking, writing, and other means of activities is beneficial since it provides more opportunities to learn the second language. Hence, passive English exposure would not yield the expected results. The findings of this study also serve as a guidance for English learners and teachers on what has been demonstrated to be useful for successful language learners.

Because of the considerable concentration on the relevance of education in society and, possibly, global development, it has become a thriving area of investigation and implementation that is gaining even more attention. Above all, scholars and practitioners must help to educate one another. This article review is intended to describe Hargreaves’s theory of school effectiveness and improvement focusing on 4 master concepts: outcomes (cognitive and moral) linked to curriculum (formal or hidden); leverage (innovation and evidence-based practice) linked to teaching (didactic and modeling), productive capacity (knowledge transfer and knowledge creation) connected to gaining knowledge (formal or informal), and social capital (trust and networks) linked to learning (formal or informal) (academic or moral). With this, concepts are meaningless unless they are properly implemented, or are closest to being put into effect.

Outcomes-Based Education (OBE) encompasses the learning, awareness, abilities, and viewpoints that students should learn to attain their successful and satisfying life cycles as human beings, members of society, and at employment. However, OBE has recently become a topic of debate and controversy. Some critics consider this educational approach ineffective, while others see it as solution to a country's educational problems. In this context, it is important to consider the nature of outcomes-based education and the challenges that come with its implementation in the Philippines. Rather than criticizing the notions associated with it, this paper focuses on such a reflection. The paper introduces several important notions (both good and bad) in Outcomes-Based Education and recommends methods in which these concepts may perhaps be studied further. This paper is not purposed to negate the system nor to agree with the sets of standards embedded in this kind of system in Philippine education but to establish awareness on how this system works. But if OBE will be a miracle cure in the Philippines (or a plague to the country), Filipinos must play their part in order to achieve the ideal goals since they are the ones who are greatly affected either way.

Change is all around us. The challenge, in the frame of reference of that statement, is learning to deal with transformation efficiently and successfully. According to the present predicament in the Philippines, where the K-12 Education System is being implemented, the prominent element of the program is the gradual improvement of the basic education curriculum to help learners attain the necessary competencies to become valuable members of society. However, admitting that the problems afflicting our schools (our education) are rooted in the way our society is organized which is the first step toward education reform. Perhaps leadership is at the heart of every successful or unsuccessful world of constant change.

This study focused on the level of Phonological awareness and Word Decoding ability among second year BSED English students in the University of Southeastern Philippines in terms of critical sound. Moreover, it aimed to recognize the significant relationship between the two variables. To verify, there were tests being employed to gather the necessary data. These were: listening test for measuring the respondents' level of awareness to words with critical sounds; phonetic transcription test to identify the respondents' level of awareness to sound-symbol relationship; and spelling test to know the respondents' level of ability for transcriptions to be translated to its Standard English spelling. After the data have been gathered, it was interpreted that the students have a moderate Phonological awareness. On the other hand, their Word Decoding ability resulted to high level. As being correlated, it is being found that there is a great significant relationship between the two variables. With these marks, the researchers encourage the schools in enhancing the students' sound-word relationship knowledge by primarily utilizing speech laboratory and establishing a speech club in the school for extending their exposure about these concepts.

Gender disparities in language have a long history, spanning subjects such as gender studies, psychology, linguistics, communication, and computational linguistics. Gender differences have been a source of contention in the past, but a consensus has evolved that gender is still an important characteristic deserving of scientific inquiry. This critical review aimed to critique and analyze the study about gender and language on Facebook. Based on their research, they discovered that men and women use language differently with the greatest difference being in the degree of interpersonal friendliness. Self-identified females used language that was warmer, friendlier, and more focused on people, whereas self-identified males used vocabulary that was more socially detached, disagreeable, and focused on items. Women, contrary to popular belief, were slightly more forceful in their discourse than men. They discovered affiliative and assertive language through automated assessments rather than human judgments, which are more susceptible to rater bias. With this, the researchers somewhat open our minds to the idea that men and women do have their own content, conversational styles, and attitudes towards speaking with others.

This descriptive correlational study aimed at the level of Phonemic awareness as a predictor of Word Decoding ability among BS-IT students using a total enumeration technique that involves students enrolled in the course program. Moreover, it sought to determine the significant relationship between the two variables. To verify, three different tests were being utilised to collect the necessary data, i.e., a listening test for measuring the respondents' level of awareness of words with critical sounds; a phonetic transcription test to identify the respondents' level of awareness of sound-symbol relationship; and spelling test to know the respondents' level of ability for transcriptions to be translated to its American Standard English spelling. After the data had been collected and tabulated, it was interpreted that the students have a high level of Phonemic awareness with a mean of 3.66. Moreover, their Word Decoding ability resulted in a high level with a mean of 3.93. Further, it is being noticed that there is a tremendous significant relationship between the two variables with a p-value of 0.0000000859. With these findings, the researcher encourages the school, administrators, and teachers to give more exposure to sound-word connections by engaging the students with activities involving speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities and practice-based tasks.

The English language is significant and useful in the academic life of students. The correlational study was designed to determine the significant relationship between affective language learning and English language competence of Purposive Communication students. After the data being gathered, the results showed that the respondents have a very high level of affective language learning with a mean score of 4.55. While the English language competence has 4.33 mean score which also has a very high description. When it comes to determining the acceptance or rejection of the hypothesis, it was found out that there is a great significant relationship between the two variables with a p-value of 0.003, hence the rejection of the hypothesis at the 0.05 level of significance. The results of the study can be used to design strategies to expand students' English language competence in order to support their affective language learning and succeed in school and in their chosen profession. Therefore, the institution must ensure that the teaching strategies and authentic activities for increasing students' English language competence are effectively incorporated into the undergraduate program. Teaching the curricular subject and having competence in the language used for instruction surges the learner's exposure and opportunity to understand the content of instruction, resulting in enhanced student control over what is taught in class and favorable academic outcomes.

It's not always easy to transition from a student to a professional in life. When it comes to professional life, students must deal with a lot of challenges. This descriptive correlational study aimed to determine the significant relationship between internship program and skills development of fourth year BSED-English students. Further, the study was conducted using quantitative non-experimental with descriptive survey method. After the data have been collected, results revealed that the interns have a very high level of internship program with a mean of 4.66. While the level of skills development has a mean score of 4.61 interpreted as very high. As being correlated, it was found out that there is a great significant relationship between the two variables with a p-value of 0.001. With this, the researcher recommends institutions, stakeholders, and workplace environment to work hand in hand, concentrating on communicating and having a direct line to them, focusing on the development side, and providing them with good opportunity with professionals in the industry and acquire industry mentors as it was viewed positively by the interns. Requiring every student to complete an internship or other work-related experiential course is a significant commitment for both college and industry personnel.

Many students use popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Messenger on a regular basis as a learning partnership. The objective of this study was to identify the effects of Facebook utilization on the language learning proficiency of college students. Further, the study used qualitative research design, more specifically, a phenomenological approach, to learn the experiences of the college students about the said problem to arrive at a description of the nature of the phenomenon. There were ten (10) participants who were highly involved in this research: five (5) for in-depth interviews and five (5) for focus group discussion. Results showed the following essential themes gathered during the interview as effects of using Facebook in relation to their language learning proficiency: new communication vocabulary, knowledge abundance, internet dependence, and grammar and spelling issues. When it comes to dealing with the effects of Facebook utilization on language learning proficiency, the following themes were generated: adapting to the new learning environment; asking for feedback from peers and teachers; and assessing the validity of the information. Lastly, the viewpoints of college students on the effects of using Facebook on their language learning process were the following: awareness of the effects of Facebook; a platform of learning and confusion; and Facebook as a learning aid. With these results being collected and evaluated, the researcher encourages students, teachers, and administrators to be extra careful in using social media. It should not be the sole learning environment to be used in a classroom as part of an asynchronous session but should be an aid to learning and communication.

This study utilized a quantitative, non-experimental design to have a deeper understanding of the respondents' morphophonemic awareness and word recognition skills. Moreover, it aimed to recognize the significant relationship between the two variables and their significant difference when analyzed according to the moderator variable. To verify, tests were being employed to gather the necessary data. These were: Morphophonetic transcription test, spelling test, and listening test. After the data had been collected, it was interpreted that the students have high morphophonemic awareness. Also, their word recognition skill resulted in a high level. As being correlated, it is being found that there is a great significant relationship between the two variables. When it comes to determining if there is a significant difference in the two variables, the result prompted the acceptance of the null hypothesis. With these results being gathered and analyzed, the researcher encourages the school to provide training and activities in improving the students' morphophonemic awareness by primarily encouraging students and teachers to use the English language in other subject areas as an effective strategy for retention and recognition of the words.

Police officers employed in law enforcement administration must be diplomatic to resolve disputes and address problems that impact the department and the neighborhood. The study's primary goal is to evaluate the effectiveness of law enforcement in Tagum City, Philippines. The study employed a quantitative correlational non-experimental design. 137 Law Enforcement from Tagum City were chosen randomly as respondents for this study's quantitative non-experimental, descriptive analysis. According to the study's findings, Tagum City's level of evaluation of law enforcement for both operational and administrative variables was very high. As a result, it was clear that the law enforcement in Tagum City needed to be evaluated. With this, a law enforcement action plan was established, establishing a curfew and random patrol. The strategy's success in crime prevention actions will be reviewed frequently to ensure it is effectively controlled.

The primary objective of this research is to emphasize how social prejudice, which has not received enough attention, plays a role in the social exclusion of LGBTQI people. The researchers demonstrated that this issue also affects the sexual minority in society. This is a pressing topic that has to be discussed. Thus, it must be handled as well. The chief goal of this research study is to explicitly detail the language paradigm of social bias in the LGBTQI community. Two hundred survey participants who gave enthusiastic responses to the questionnaires were chosen. According to the information provided by the respondents, the study's findings cannot necessarily be generalized to students who do not identify as LGBTQI or are not enrolled at UM Tagum College. Queer Theory, developed in 1991 by Italian American feminist theorist Teresa de Laurentiis, serves as the theoretical foundation for this work. Because many people tend to exclude LGBTQI people from society due to their sexual...

Reading is particularly challenging because there are so many factors to consider. However, some studies show that there are ways to support readers in improving their reading abilities. This study tested students' comprehension of short stories based on Philippine fables. Background knowledge, active reading skills, critical thinking, intense reading, reading background, story comprehension, the impact of short stories, and the use of short stories in language learning are all indications of reading comprehension. A quantitative, non-experimental Intervention Program was used in this investigation. For first-through fourth-year English education majors, researchers identify 402 respondents. There are 80 items total in the questionnaire, 10 for each indication. According to the results, Active reading and Reading background had the highest mean of 2 for reading comprehension. On the other hand, story comprehension scored the lowest mean of 6 for reading comprehension. According to the data, pupils struggle, especially with reading. Researchers developed an intervention program to gauge students' reading comprehension (Action Plan on Reading Intervention for Struggling Students). This can assess their reading abilities and help them to be good readers.

This  paper is  not purposed to negate the system nor to agree with the sets of standards embedded in this kind of system in Philippine...
