Based on the sound habits of the French and American film sessions of the end of the XIX and beginning of the XX century, this article aims to highlight certain aspects of the consolidation period of the cinema specifying the major techniques of sound accompaniment, the audience's posture, and also how both of them became standardized.

This article aims to investigate the sound potential of images so called as silent in the silent films era, and also in contemporary movies. Through a approach of synesthesia, this research suggests with examples that silent films used to use images to represent sound, while the contemporary ones do it through the management of audiovisual resources in order to represent silence.
Trabalhos de Conclusão

This research aims to make explicit the phenomenon of the contemporany imagetic apropriation through the study of the dialog between the audio-visual work “Capitu”, produced and broadcasted by Globo Networs in 2008 under the direction of Luiz Fernando Carvalho, and one of the movements that composes the cenary of artistic vanguards from the ‘20s, the Germain expressionism. Among a critic-theoretic approach that envolves the comprehension of the modernism, the postmodern conjucture and the developments of the cultural industry, the discussion of what permeates the relationship established between the artistic object and its referent stands out in the sense of the conceptual approaches and valuation sistems of aesthetics language in face of its existence into a time when the dynamics of cultural production are submitted to the capitalist hegemony.
Trabalhos Acadêmicos
-
This work aims to raise the matter of the universality of concepts, which is relevant in the philosophical tradition, in face of the notion of “language games”, as it is presented in the late Ludwig Wittgenstein’s philosophy. To achieve this, the article will first contextualize the development of this aspect in the Wittgensteinian work, and then analyze how this language dynamic affects the formulation of universal concepts.
The present work aims to explore the ethical and antinomic condition of man from the epistemological material provided by the Third Conflict of Transcendental Ideas. In order to do so, it will first present and contextualize the third antinomy within the framework of Kantian thought, and then analyze the double condition of the human being, who, as a natural being, is free to use his reason and restrain his impulses towards respect to moral laws.
