La presente publicación versa sobre el proceso histórico de construcción socio-urbana de la ciudad de Guadalajara, Jalisco; México. Hace un recorrido histórico, desde la época virreinal a la segunda mitad del siglo XX, exponiendo y esbozando las condiciones históricas que se tuvieron que gestar para hacer, desde la opinión de los autores, dos Guadalajaras, la que se posiciona del río San Juan de Dios hacía el actual centro de la ciudad (poniente) y, desde el mismo río, hacia la que bien se pude señalar como microrregión, parte de Oblatos (oriente). El método de investigación utilizado ha sido el histórico materialista; con un marco teórico de economía política con un enfoque urbano; el objeto de estudio geográfico es la parte antigua centro y el espacio de Oblatos de la ciudad de Guadalajara, Jalisco en México; el objetivo es describir el proceso de construcción histórico en la dimensión socio-urbana de dicha parte de la ciudad de Guadalajara.

The objective is to determine if the salary of the teaching staff of the public universities in the sample has increased or decreased in real terms. As a hypothesis, it is considered that the salary of teachers in the Central West Region (RCO) of Mexico has had a loss of purchasing power. It is considered necessary to reflect on the salary received by university professors from state public universities of the RCO, since the effort that professors make to generate future professionals in Mexico and the world must be dignified with a fair income. In the present investigation a socioeconomic analysis and regional study was carried out in the Santa Isabel de las Lajas municipality of the Republic of Cuba, with the purpose of observing the economic relevance of the tourist connection of this town with the city of Cienfuegos, cataloged the latter, Cultural heritage of humanity in 2005. The theoretical framework used is that of Regional Development, from the perspective of the school of Enrique Gallicchio Pagani and the research approach used is that of Participatory Action Research. For which we worked with the model proposed by Martí Olivé in his book “Research - participatory action. Structure and phases”. The analyzed data were obtained through surveys of the local population and interviews with local actors and the municipal government. Finally, the findings of the research and the conclusions of the work are presented.

Creative activities have positioned themselves as an ally to regional and local development, considering that it can contribute to other activities that are in a territory. These activities have been differentiated from cultural activities, because they are developed due to market demand and competition from economic sectors. This is how it is affirmed that cultural activities play a fundamental role for the development of creativity, but creative activities help the development of other activities, being a support such as productive or advanced services. The grouping of these activities in the country and specifically in Jalisco, it is observed that only in some states there is a relative concentration. In the case of Jalisco, the agglomeration is manifested in the metropolitan municipalities, in addition to Puerto Vallarta, where the latter has the effect of the appearance of these activities due to tourism development.
