Definitions

  • the present specification refers, as its title indicates, to a support structure for stone cladding, of the type used to support natural or artificial stone slabs by introducing holes of a metal rod portion into its holes , to form a covering cladding.
  • the currently known support elements have a series of limitations that considerably hinder or even do not contemplate the support of the stones in particularly complicated places such as corners or sills, being then limited to a very rigid embodiment which becomes a considerable increase in costs when they are to be adapt to different construction characteristics.
  • the support structure object of the present invention has been devised that incorporates a series of standard elements and several complementary elements that allow solving the placement of the stones in especially complicated places, considerably simplifying the position of the ap He has been independent of the unique characteristics of the wall to be covered.
  • This support structure includes staple type elements that incorporate a support element of the cladding and that allow them to be positioned directly on any sufficiently rigid surface by opting for a direct fixing of the cladding on the surface, provided that it has characteristics that allow it , these staple type elements can be fixed on profiles previously immobilized on the wall. Another advantage of this structure is that the clamping support element, fixed on the staple type element always defines the same configuration regardless of whether the clamping joints are arranged horizontally or vertically.
  • the fixing of the profiles on the support surface is carried out by means of separator and aplomb elements that are used in the event that this surface is not in conditions to perform the direct mounting of the cladding on it, presenting the profile holes longitudinally aligned in two opposite faces and the separator element eyelets coinciding with them, the union of both being realized by means of the introduction of the profiles in the separator element and the fixing of both by means of through screws that establish the tightening of the separator element on the profile once it is plumbed thanks to the grooves defined in the separator element that allows the profile to be approached or moved away from the wall. .
  • Another of the advantages of this structure is that it incorporates load compensating plates that can be fixed on two consecutive profiles previously immobilized on the wall, or on a single profile, applying these load compensating plates when the cladding is composed of stones of a reduced width, with which the elimination of a high number of profiles is achieved since two staple type elements acting on a single stone or on two consecutive stones can be fixed on this plate.
