DESIGN FOR LABELS.
Specitication forming part of Design No. 7,157, dated February 3, 1874; application filed January 8, 1874.
[Term of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, SAMUEL HMRI), of the city of Boston, county of Suffolk and State of Massachusetts, have invented a Design for Labels, of which the following is a specification The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying print, to which reference is made.
A represents an ornamental design or tablet having square corners at the top, and being pointed in the upper center, and having ribbons which inclose a center piece, nearly oval in form, and then meet together at the bottom of the design. B represents a band or ribbon running laterally across the central portion of the oval-shaped center piece, which is inclosed by the ribbons attached to the tablet. U represents Egyptian ornamentation, which surrounds the whole design, and which in turn is again surrounded by a plain-line border.
I prefer to print it in colors, but do not conA sider the colors to be an essential feature in my design.
lVliat I claim as my invention is A design for a label composed of an ornamental design or tablet having square corners at the top, pointed in the` upper center, and having ribbons which meet together in the center at the bottom of the design, and which surround and nelose a center piece nearly oval in form, running laterally across which is the band or ribbon B, above mentioned, the whole being surrounded by Egyptian ornamentation and a plain-line border, substantially as shown.
