DESIGN FOR A TOY BANK.
To rtZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN W. ESHLEMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Mount Joy, in the county of Lancaster and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for 'loy Banks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of a toy bank, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is aside view. I As shown in the drawings,'the leading or material feature of mydesign consists in the particular ornamentation of the front and sides of the bank, the front having a surrounding border a, the inner edges of the top and sides of which are scalloped, as at a, while the lower edge of the bottom of said border, forming the lower edge of the bank, is provided with a scallop a The door of the bank is also formed with a border a the inner edge of which is provided with a scallop 60'. The sides, as indicated in Fig. 2, are each provided with a plain border I), inclosing foliated ornamentations, and at one side of said border is a scalloped edge 0.
The foliated ornamentation on the sides of the bank consists of two branches of grapevine l) b, extending from scrolls b each branch having a bunch of the fruit and leaflets. Beneath the said branches are leafscrolls d d, which in conjunction are formed in the shape of a lyre. Inclosed within the leaf-scrolls d d are the ornaments c 6.
Both sides and the back of the bank are of the ornamental design shown in Fig. 2.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
