DESIGN FOR A LACE CURTAIN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design NO. 25,344, dated March 31, 1896.
Application filed August 14, 1894. Serial No. 520,309- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY HORSEFIELD, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, in the State of Pennsylvania, have invented'and produced a new and original Design for Lace Curtains, of which the following is a specification, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawing, which shows enough of a lace curtain to fully illustrate my invention.
My design is drawn so as to show somewhat more than half of the lower border 0 and of the top border B of the curtain and some of the body ornamentations E, which are the same in all of the body. The line a: as is at aboutthe middle of the curtain.
The chief feature of my design consists in a lace net, the ends of which are provided with a fringe, this net being provided with the illustrated ornamentation and serving as a curtain.
A further feature is the scalloped edges D D.
Referring to the pattern proper of the curtain, the lower border 0 consists of lyre-like figures 0 combined with conventionalized flower-pieces c between the figures c and somewhat similar pieces 0' below these figures. The border F consists of a. scalloped figure f with leaf-sprays and a flower f The design at the upper border B consists of a flower and leaf design, as shown.
The body portion E of the curtain-net is ornamented with a flower and spray, as shown at e.
What I claim is- The design for lace curtains; substantially as shown.
