\VILIIIAM S. COOPER, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA.
DESIGN FOR A WATER-CLOSET BOWL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,520, dated February 17, 1891. Application filed January 5, 1891. Serial No. 376,792. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM COOPER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for a \Vater-Uloset Bowl, of which the following is a specification.
My design for a water-closet bowl is fully shown in the accompanying drawing, which represents a perspective View of the bowl.
The bowl has a square back, rounded and contracted front,and tapering sides; but these are immaterial to the present design; the leading features of which are the ornamental band A, extending around the top of the bowl, and the ornamentation B on the front of the bowl. The ornamental band A comprises a succession of scroll-like or cornucopia-shaped figures a and conventionalized floral figures b, overlapping portions of the scroll-like figures, and the design for the ornamentation B on the front of the bowl comprises the central floral figure d, opposite upright leaf figures f, and scroll figures r, partially inelosing the floral figure d.
I claim- 1. The design for the ornamentation of a water-closct bowl, said design comprising the front ornamentation consisting of the central floral figure, opposite upright leaf figures, and intermediate scroll figures, and the top band comprising scroll-like figures and floral fignres overlapping portions of the same, substantially as shown and described.
2. In a design for the ornamentation of a water-closet bowl, the design for the band around the top, said design comprisinga succession of scroll-like figures and floral figures overlapping portions of the same, substantially as shown and described.
3. In a design for the ornamentation of a water-closet bowl, the design for the front ornamentation, comprising the central floral figure, opposite upright leaf figures, and intermediate scroll figures, substantially as shown and described.
