UNITED STATES PATENT GEErcE.
HARRY THAYER KINGSBURY, OF KEENE, NEW HAMPSHIRE.
DESIGN FOR A TOY-SPADE-HANDLE MEMBER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,332, dated November 26, 1901.
Application tiled October 15 1901. Serial No. 78,754. Term of patent 14 years.
To @ZZ whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HARRY THAYER Kines- BURY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Keene, in the county of Cheshire, State of New Hampshire, have invented a new and original design for a Toy-Spade-Handle Member, of which the following is a description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
My invention relates to a new and original design for a toy-spade-handle member; and it consists in a member of a spade-handle of the shape and configuration shown.
In the drawings which illustrate the invention, Figure l is a perspective view of a spade-handle member embodying the design, and Fig. 2 is a cross-section.
In the drawings, A represents the lower part of the spade-handle member, which from about the central portion a tapers down on either side toward the lower end b and from said wider portion ct tapers upwardly to a point c, where it joins the downwardly and upwardly bent portion B, which portion B is convex, as shown. The upper end of the portion B is expanded, its upper edge being formed, substantially, into a circular plate C of greater diameter than the width of the part B.
The leading feature of the design consists of a toy-spade-handle member of the abovedescribed shape and conliguration.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for a toy-spade-handle member; substantially as shown and described.
In testimony whereof I affix my signature in presence of two Witnesses.
HARRY THAYER KINGSBURY.
Witnesses:
W. L. MASON, E. L. SALISBURY.
