DESIGN FOR A GAME-BOARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No'. 30,396, dated March 28, 1899.
Application filed February 23, 1398. Serial No. 671,387. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it 'muy concern.-
Be it known that I, ARTHUR E. IIOURD,l a subject of ller hilajesty the Queen of Great Britain, and a resident of London, in the Province of Ontario and Dominion of Canada, have invented and produced a cert-ain new and original Design or Useful Shape for Game- Boards, of which the following, in connection with the accompanying drawings, is a full, clear, and exact specification.
In the said drawings, Figure l is a top or plan View of a game-board embodying my design, and Fig. 2 is a transverse sectional View thereof.
The leading features of my design consist of a round board A and its outer rim or border-'wall B, which is also round or circular, the annular ditch or countersink a, of which the rim D forms the outer wall, and the ccntral flat board A, whose outer edge forms thc inner wall of the ditch n.
The board A is substantially fiat, except ing for a marginal or surrounding ditch or conntersink a adjacent to the wall B, while at its center is formed a comparatively small 25 depression a', standing around which on the line of a circle O are a number of posts or pins l). The circle C is surrounded bya eircle E and this in turn by a circle F, which is Very near the edge of the ditch o. The two 3o circles E and F are conjoined on the diame* ters of the board by four straight lines (l.
