ELISIIA L. DAY, OF BRENIIAM, TEXAS, ASSIGNOR OF ONE-HALF TO ROBERT E. GRAUL, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A SYRINGE NOZZLE-TIP.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,972, dated January 10, 1899.
Application filed December 19, 1898. Serial No. 699,772. Term of patent 14 years.
To aZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ELISHA L. DAY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brenham, in the county of \Vashington and State of Texas, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Syringe Nozzle-Tip, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a syringe nozzle-tip; andithas for its object to provide a design of this character which shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a tip-body having at one end a spheroidal head and a cylindrical stem extended from I5 one side of the head and provided with a pinrality of spaced longitudinal grooves and a contracted annular neck-groove directly adjoining the head and having its annular side walls flared.
The minor features of the design are the cylindrical stem, having exterior threads between the neelc-groove and one end thereof and also having its solid portion slightly tapered.
An additional minor feature of the design is the contracted annular neclogroove of the stem, havinga flat annular base portion, from which the side walls of the groove flare ontwardly.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is an elevation of a syringe nozzle-tip embodying the hereindescribed design. Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section thereof. Fig. 3 is a cross-sectional view on the line 3 3 of Fig.1. Fig. i is an end View of the tip.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, the numeral 1 designates the elongated tipbody, having at one end a spheroidal head 2 and having extended from one side of said head a cylindrical stem portion 3. The cyo lindrical stem portion 3 of the nozzle-tip is provided with aplurality of spaced longitudinal grooves 4: and with a contracted annular neck-groove 5 directly adjoining the head 2 and havinga flat annular base 6 and beveled side walls 7, which flare outwardly from said base 6. Between its contracted annular neckgroove 5 and one end thereof the said cylindrical stem 3 of the tip is provided with exterior threads 8. 5o
