TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONOERN:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM S. CARR, of the city and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for the Container of Water-Closets; and I do hereby declare the following to he a correct description of the said design, reference being had to the annexed photographic view of the same.

The shape of the container on the side a somewhat resembles an egg-shell divided longitudinally and transversely into quarter sections, one of said sections forming the shape of that side.

The side b resembles, in general shape, a section of a spheroid, extending out as shown; the parts a and b being united by curves, as represented.

The container is hollow, and the upper open portion is shaped with an inward ange, c.

At d the container is shaped angularly, at the point Where the angle of the swinging pan of the closet is contained.

e is a. three-armed base upon which the closet stands.

frepresents the shape and configuration of a ange that I sometimes employ for receiving the cock of the closet; but this part does not form any portion of my present new and original design.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design of the shape and configuration of the container of a water-closet, as represented.
