DESIGN FOR A PLOW-POINT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,444, dated October 4, 1898. Application filed July 1,1897. Serial No. 643,155. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, WILLIAM F. ZIEGLER, of Lincoln, Lincoln county, Kansas, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for a Plow-Point, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
My invention relates to plow-points, and my object is to produce a plow-point of a design which is both useful and of distinctive appearance.
In the drawings which illustrate my design, Figure 1 isa perspective view. Fig. 2 is a central longitudinal section, and Fig. 3 a crosssection, looking toward the rear.
The leading feature of the design resides in the plow-point having two rearwardly-diverging arms of similar size and configuration and sloping downward and outward from their point of junction or crown, which extends longitudinally froin the upper edges of said arms to the apex or nose at the extreme front end of the plow-point. At their rear ends said arms terminate in vertical triangular arms, extending approximately parallel to the crown, and adjacent thereto and inward thereof the arms are provided with rightangled recesses.
Secondary features of the design are the perforations formed in the inner and upper edges of the arms.
In detail, 1 1 designate the arms.
2 designates the crown or point of juncture of said arms.
3 designates the apex or ends of the plowpoint.
4 designates the vertical triangular arms.
5 designates the right-angled recesses.
o designates the perforations.
\Vhat I claim is- The design for a plow-point, as herein shown and described.
