DESIGN FOR AN OIL-CUP OR OILER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,076, dated July 19, 1898.
Application filed May 25, 1894. Serial No. 512,492. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOSEPH W. OUsHMAN, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Oil-Cups or Oilers, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, which show an 0il-cup or oiler designed according to my invention.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l is a side elevation; Fig. 2, a section on the line 2 2, looking in the direction of the arrows; and Fig. 3, a section on the line 3 3, looking in the direction of the arrows.
The drawings show an oiler in which the body portion is oblong in cross-section, with rounded corners, though substantially rectangular, and at the top has tapering rounded walls A, converging to the extreme annular end of the body portion. Around the top edge of the tapered portion is an ornamental milled flange or ring 13, and above this flange is a cylindrical top or cap D. In the central part of the body portion is a figure O.
The essential feature of the design is an oil cup or holder oblong in cross-section, having tapering rounded walls at the top, and around the end of which is an ornamental flange or ring, above which is the cylindrical cap.
