DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,304, dated May 14, 1895.
Application filed April 5, 1895. Serial No. 544,675. Term of patent 3% years.
To ctZZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, FREDRIO M. PARKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at \Vorcester, in the county of lVorcester and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon carpeting or similar fabrics, and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any person skilled in'the art of carpet Weaving a sufliciently clear understanding of the same to enable such person to use my invention.
The said drawing is a face view of acarpet embodying my new design.
The drawing illustrates a body and a border.
The body A is characterized by a number of small figures. Among these figures are small, con ventionalized rosettes, arranged diagonally with respect to each other, con ventionalized branching figures extending from said rosettes, and con ventionalized devices interposed between said rosettes.
The border 13 is characterized near its inner edge with a configuration conforming to the configuration employed in the body, and near its outer edge by a series of alternating triangular figures, and figures having curved outlines.
The colors employed for the dilferent portions of this design maybe varied to suit the taste and convenience of the manufacturer.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
1. In a design for carpeting, the body A, substantially as shown.
2. In a design for carpeting, the border 13, substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
