DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part 0f Design N0. 24,303, dated May 14, 1895.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FEEDRIC M. PARKER, a citizen of the United States, residing at lVoreester, in the county of Worcester and State of ll'lassaehusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a speeitioation.
My invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon carpeting or similar fabrics, and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification gives and conveys to any person skilled in the art of earpet-weaving a sufficiently clear understanding of the sanne to enable suoli person to use my invention.
The drawing is a face View of a carpet einbodying my new design.
The drawing illustrates a body and a border.
The body A is characterized by a number of small oval figures. These figures are located obliquely with respect to each other, and are outlined by curves or branches of oonventionalized stem-work.
The border B is characterized near its inner edge with a configuration conforming to the configuration employed in the body, and near its outer edge by a number of curves inclosingconventionalized flower forms. These curves are shaded off into a uniform groundv work at the outer edge of the border.
The colors employed for the different portions of this design may be varied to Suit the taste or convenience of the manufacturer.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
1. In a design for carpeting,'the body A, Substantially as shown.
2. In a design for carpeting, the border B, substantially as shown.
3. The design for carpets, consisting of the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
