DESIGN FOR A HAMMOCK.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,302, dated May 22, 1894. Application filed April13, 1894. Serial No. 507,481. Term of patent 14 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, ISAAC E. PALMER, of Middletown, in the county of Middlesex and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Hammocks, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

The leading feature of my design is the box-like shape of the hammock provided with a valance extending across the ends, as well as along the sides of the hammock body, as shown.

Figure 1 shows the form which the hammock body and valance assume when they 1 are spread out in a plane and Fig. 2 shows the appearance which they present when the hammock is strung as in use.

A represents the body of the hammock, a the valance at the sides and a the valance at 20 the ends.

What I claim is- The design for a hammock, substantially as herein shown and described.
