DESIGN FOR A SPOON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,438, dated May 16, 1893.

To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, MARY A. FISHER, of New Rochelle, in the county of lVestchester and State of New York, have invented a novel and ornamental Design for Souvenir Spoons; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specification.
The object of my invention is to produce a novel and pleasing design for the ornamentation of spoons, With especial reference to the obverse and reverse of both the handle and the bowl.
The accompanying drawings present, in Figures 1 and 2 respectively, views of the obverse and reve rse of a spoon ornemented with my design.
The obverse of the upper end of the handle bears a. portrait bust of a man having upon his head a, flat cap and upon his shoulders a garment with high collar; while upon the reverse of the same is represented a bell supported from a crossbeam. The obverse of 1893. Serial No. 470.890 Term of patent 7 years.
the bowl bears a scroll and a coat-of-arms with two sprays of myrtle, the ooat-of-arms showing three fleurs de lis and a ship. Upon the reverse of the bowl s represented a rude edifice with an overshedowing tree. he handie, between the upper end and the bowl, has a spray of myrtle on the obverse and on the reverse and bears the representation of a ribbon Wound about it in an open spiral.
I claim as my invention- 1. In a design for a souvenir spoon, lthe obverse, substantial ly as shown and described.
2. In a. design for a souvenir spoon, the reverse, substantially as shown and described.
3. The design for a souvenir spoon, substantially as shown and described.
