DESIGN FOR A SPOON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 20,862, dated June 30, 1891.
Application filed March 26, 1891. Serial No. 886,564- Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom zit may concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY BLANOHARD DOMINIOK, of New York city, in the county of New York and State of NewYork, have invented and produced a newand useful Design for Spoons, of which the following is a description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 shows the front, and Fig. 2 the rear, of a spoon embodying the design.
The upper end of the handle of the spoon is in general outline form similar to that of a violin-body. On both faces of the handle is a raised border-head A, running along the edge of the handle and curving With the outline thereof. The shank of the handle where it joins the bowl is curved in outline similar to the upper end of the handle and is faced on the front and rear faces with the scrolls B and C, respectively. The front face of the spoon has upon it the representation of a standing military figure D holding a flag, and beneath this figure is a vertical series of irregular or angular scrolls. The rear face of the handle is plain except for the raised border-head A and the scroll-Work O. The inner surface of the bowl of the spoon is ornamented With the representation of a fort-
