Be it known that I, HERMAN IHLENBURG, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a new and original Design for a Font of Printing-Type, of which the following is a specification.
My design for a fontof type is clearly illustrated in the accompanying typographicalirnpression.
The font of type is of an ornamental character, and represents letters made by a pen, free hand, the lines of the type being undulating and uneven throughout. The main lines of the upper-case type are undulating at certain parts, giving an uneven appearance, and each letter has one or more of its ends curled,
as in the form of a scroll shown,and the other
