EDVARD A. DUBEY, OF BROOKLYN, NE\V YORK.
DESIGN FOR A MONEY-BOX.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 18,686, dated October 16, 1888.
Application filed Juno 27, ISES. Serial No. 278,349. Term of patent 7 years.
.To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDWARD A. DUBEY, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York,haveinvented a certain new and useful Design for Money-Boxes; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and
exact description of the invention, which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon7 which form part of this specification.
My invention relates to a new and original design for money and contribution boxes; and it consists of a money-box constructed in the shape and forni oa soldiers canteen, as here inafter fully described and shown.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, Figure l is a side elevation of my new design. for money-boxes. Fig. 2 is a similar view of the opposite side of the box. Fig. 3 is a top plan, and Fig. 4 is a detail View, of the coinreceiving neck of the money-box, forming the mouth of the canteen.
In the drawings, the reference-letter A indicates the body portion of the moncy-box, which is iiat and circular in shape in the form of a soldiers canteen, as clearly shown, and has upon its periphery the loops a, projecting from the body, as shown. The slit C is in the form of' a neck to represent the mouth of a canteen, and said neck is somewhat flat in shape, with the central portion of the sides curved outwardly. ,Both sides ofthe canteen are centrally flattened to form the panels EE',
which arc surrounded with a bead, c, or a flange, f, as shown. The panel E' can be provided with a suitable picture or photograph. (Not shown.)
