To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY HUNT, of Greenville, New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photograph, which forms a part of the same.
The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces, such as carpets or similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel configuration and grouping of figures herein specifically shown and claimed.
Theaccompanyiug photograph isaface view ofa carpet showing my new design.
My design consists ofa very irregular assemblage of conventionalized flower and leaf forms of a diversified character. Several of the larger leaf forms are fan-shaped, with their edges deeply indented or serrated and with their central portions ornamented with smaller leaf and 20 flower shaped forms. Others of the large leaf forms are long and curved or arched like scrollwork. The rest of the design is made up of small leafand flower forms with some geoinetrical ornaments apparently arranged without 25 any definite order.
What I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for carpets, consisting of the design substantially as shown.
