DESIGN FOR A BRl-DLE-BIT.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 16,758, dated June 29, 1886.
Application filed April 26, I886. Serial No. 200,223. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, WILLIAM DAvIs, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city and county of San Francisco, State of California, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bridle-Bits, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof.
The figure is a perspective view of my bridle-bit.
My invention relates to a new design for bridle-bits; and it consists, essentially, in a cheek-piece with ornamental conchas, and the bar of the mouth-piece located above the concha/s.
In-the drawing, Aisa bridle-bit. B are the cheek-pieces. G is the mouth-piece, here shown as a spade. D is the bar of the mouthpiece, and E are the cross-chains. It will be observed that the cheek-pieces have the conchas b, below which is a light curved shape, b, which terminates at a point at which the crosschains E enter. The concha, it may be explained, is exterior of the cheek-pieces, and consists of a round bulging piece suitably ornamented. The bar D of the mouth-piece of my bit is above the conchas, and may be provided with exterior heads, (I, of an ornamental nature. 1
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
1. In a bridle-bit, the design herein shown and described, the same consisting of the cheekpiece B, having the concha b, and the bar D of the mouth-piece above the concha.
2. In a bridle-bit, the design herein shown and described, thesame consisting ofthe cheekpiece B, having the concha b and the light curved shape b below, and the bar D of the mouth-piece above the concha.
