ALBERT PATITZ, OF MERIDEN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO THE BRADLEY & HUBBARD MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A SCONCE-FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 14,272, dated September 11, 1883,
Application filed July 16. 1883. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that T, A Lnnn'r PATI'IZ, of Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Scouee-Frames; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with ac eompanying drawing and the letters of referenee marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said 10 drawing constitutes part of this specification,
and represents a face view.
This invention relates to a design for mirrorframe made from metal, and such as commonly called a seonce; and the design consists in I 5 the configuration and ornamentation as shown in the accompanying illustration. The shape or general outline of the frame is that of a parallelogram. Each side of the frameis composed of two parallel bars extending from the bottom part to the top part of the frame. The space between the bars of each side is filled by floriated tracery, as shown. At the center of each side is a cross-bar which projects outward beyond the edge bf the frame, the face of the cross-bar having a series of rose ornaments. The top piece is composed of a horizontal bar, having in the central part of it two bars, connected by a erowirpiece, forming a panel, which is filled with a diamondshaped figure having a rose ornament thereon. each side of this central portion a bar extends horizontally, connected with the bar below, forming wings or side panels of less height than the center, filled with lloriated ornalnelr tation, as shown. The bottom part is the same as the top part, as shown in the accent panying illustration.
I claim The design for sco nee, consisting of the frame, each side composed of parallel bars,the space between filled with afloriated tracery, and connected at the top and bottom by a center-piece with a wing at each side, showing a rose ornament at the center and floriated traeery at each side, as herein described, and shown in the accompanying illustration.
