Application filed November 14, 1892. Serial No. 452,010- Term of patent 3% years.
To LIZ whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN C. MILLER, of Waterbury, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and original Design for a Table; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification, and represents a front view of a table illustrating my design.
This invention relates to a design for ornamental metal-tables, and consists in the configuration and ornamentation as shown in the accompanying drawing.
The body or frame of my newly designed table, is square in form, with concaved sides of open-work, elaborately wrought. Each side contains the representation of two winged cherubs, separated by an open scroll, associated with leaf, floral, and shell forms. Below each side of the said body or frame, depends an open-work drapery, also of scroll, leaf and floral forms. Above the open-work ornamentation of each side of the said body, there is a bead-like band, which merges into a plain band. The said body or frame is being supported upon four legs, gracefully curved throughout their length, and tapering 0 shelf, having its edges decorated in the style 40 of the other parts, while the body or frame of the table supports a square top. All of the ornamentation of the table has the elaborate and fanciful character of rococo work.
I claim- The design for a table as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
In testimony whereof I have signed this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
