DESIGN FOR A CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,664, dated February 27, 1883.

Application filed January 25, 1883. Term of patent 3* years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be itknown that I, HENRY HUNT, ot'Greenville, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a. specification.

This invention relates to a new and original design for carpets and similar fabrics; and it consists in the novel grouping and configuration offigures hereinalter more fully described.

The accompanying photograph illustrates a face view of a, carpet having my new design. The ground is, in irregular portions, either plain or ornamented by a small diagonal figure, as shown, with a conspicuous Greek-letter ornament running brokenly over it and forming part of it. On this ground is disposed a sysitem of flower groups consisting of various scattered groups of flowers, leaves, and builsprays, all as shown in the photograph.

I claim 1. The design for a ground for a carpet, con sisting of the ground, substantially as shown and'described.

2. The design for a carpet, consisting of the system of flower groups, substantially as show n and described.

3. The design for a carpet, consisting of the system of flower groups and the ground, Sllilstantially as shown and described.
