DESIGN FOR GIMP.
Specification forming part of Design No. 11,566, dated December 30, 1879; application filed July 7, 1879. [Term of patent 7 years] To all "whom it may concern Be it known that I, JAMES H. THORP, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State ot'New York, have invented at new and original Design for Gimps, 0twhich the following is a specification.
The photographic illustration represents a face View of my new design for gimps.
This invention relates to (L new ornamentation for gimp and analogous fabrics.
The body of the gimp contains a series of diamond or lozenge shaped figures, eta, placed in a row and at a short distance one from the other. Each of the figures a. is composed of short parallel bars, forming a zigzag outline, as shown. Within each of the figures a is a small cross, b, formed of two crossed bars. At one side of the figures at a is a. stripe, d, which is parallel to the bars or stripes that form the figures a. v
I claim as my invention 1. The design for a gimp, consisting of the figures a a, which are composed of parallel bars, and form a zigzag outline, substantially as shown.
2. The design for a gimp, consisting of the figures a and inner crosses, b, substantially as shown.
3. The design for a gimp, consisting of the figures a and stripe d, substantially as shown.
4. The design for a. gimp, consisting of the figures a, crosses b, and stripe d, substantially as shown.
