DESIGN FOR A BADGE.

Specification forming part of Design No. 10,629, dated.April16,1878; application filed February 19,1878. [Term of patent 7 yeara] To all whom t may concern Be it known that I, HENRY MoEsINGER, of the city of Buffalo, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have originated a new Design for Badge or other Ornament, of which the following is a speciication, reference being` had to the accompanying drawing.

The accompanying drawing represents my design in three slightly-modified forms.

Like letters of reference refer to like parts in each ofthe figures.

A represents the body or background of the design, made in the form of a shield, and provided, preferably, with an ornamental border, a, surrounding the shield, either partially or entirely, as may be desired. Upon the shield A are arranged a heart, B, and an anchor, G,

both inclining in opposite directions, and the anchor partly overlapping the heart, as clearly shown. In this manner the two emblems are intimately connected, and produce an attractive and ornamental design.

I claim as my invention- A design fora badge or other ornament, composed of a shield, A, and a heart, B, and anchor C, arranged centrally thereon, the anchor partly overlapping the heart, and both the heart and anchor inclining in opposite directions, substantially as shown and described.
