To all whom 'it may concern.-

l Be it known that I, LYMAN M. BA'rns,'of Jackson, in the county of Jackson, and State of Michigan, have 1nvented certain new and useful Improvements in `springs for Bed-Bottoms; and I do herebyvdeclare that :he following'is a full, clear, and exact description yhereof, reference being hadv lrawings, and t-o the' letters 'of reference' marked leron, which form a part of this speciiic'ation, in v ne n Figure lrepresents a side velevation of `my invennon.

My invention consists in the peculiar construction f the base of' the spring when used in combination ith the disk, and connected therewith, substantially s hereinafter described.

It will be observed Vthat the top-coil of the spring B is malle horizontal, in order to supp'ort the disk more effectually.
