which will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
Our invention relates to receptacles, but more particularly to a bottle having two compartments for containing separately two kinds of powders.
Our invention is specially designed for containing a fiash-light powder to be used in photography, wherein the ingredients are held separated until ready to be used, at which time they are mixed together.
With this obj ect in view our invention consists in the novel construction of the removable chamber or receptacle, as will be hereinafter fully described and afterward specifically pointed out in the appended claims'.
Referring to the accompanying drawin s, Figure 1 is a perspective view of the bottle. Fig. 2 is a vertical section taken through same. Fig. 3 is an elevation of bottle with cap removed. Fig. 4 is a perspective View of removable chamber or receptacle, and Fig. 5 is an elevation showing inner receptacle being used as a measure.
Like characters of reference indicate the same parts throughout the several figures.
1 indicates the bottle, which is preferably of glass and which, as shown, is provided with thethreaded neck 2. 3 indicates the inner removable receptacle, also referably .of glass, which comprises the tubu ar portion 4, open at its lower end, and an annular flange 5, formed on its upper end, said flange being thicker than the tubular portion 4.
6 indicates a small rubber gasket arranged under the flange 5.
7 indicates a threaded cap designed to be threaded on the'neck 2 ofthe bottle 1, and 8 indicates an-ordinary cork inserted in the lopen end of the removable receptacle 3, as
shown.
Having thus described the several parts of our invention, its operation is as follows:
'Referring particularly to Fig. 1, it will be seen that a powder A is held in the bottle 1 and a powder B is carried in the inner removable chamber or receptacle 3. When ready to use the powder, the contents of the receptacle 3 are emptied into the bottle and thoroughly mixed with the ingredients therein,
From the construction of the receptacle 3 itis seen that the flange 5 thereon suspends the said receptacle within the bottle 1, said flange being the same in diameter as the neck 2 of the bottle. l/Vhen the cap 7 is threaded on the said neck, it engages the said flange and presses it down tightly upon the gasket 6, thus forming an absolutely tight closure. Furthermore, as the 'cap 7 is passed on the neck 2 it centers the said flange 5, thereby centering the inner removable receptacle 3 within the neck of the bottle 1, which abso- .lutely prevents the tubular portion of the said receptacle 3 from coming in contact with the neck of the bottle, and when employing the inner removable receptacle 3 as a measure the said iiange when inverted furnishes a longer base of support and being of thicker yglass than the tubular portion prevents the said receptacle from overturning, in Fig. 5.
Having thus fully described our invention, we do not wish to be understood as limiting as shown ourselves to the exact construction herein set.

What We claim as our invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-
1. In a receptacle of the character described, the combination of an outer receptacle having a threaded neck, an inner removable receptacle comprising a tubular portion having its lower end formed open and designed to receive a removable stopper and its upper end closed and provided with an annular flange, said inner removable receptacle after which the receptacle 3 is inverted and is employed as a measure, a's shown in Fig. 5.
being constructed to be passed into the neck I of the said outer receptacle and to be held in position by .the said annular flange, and a threaded cap constructed to be passed over said annular flange and to thread on said threaded neck of said outer receptacle and to IOS said outer=receptacle7 and a cap constructed to be passed over said flange and over the neck of said outer receptacle and` to engagel said llange to form a tight closure for saidl outer receptacle7 substantially as described.
3. In a receptacle of the character described, the combination` of anouter receptacle, an inner removable receptacle having its upper end closed and a flange at said end to engage the mouth of said outer receptacle to suspend said inner removable receptacle within said outer receptacle and a cap for said outer receptacle, substantially as described.
4. In a receptacle of the character described, the combination of an outer receptacle, an inner removable receptacle having its lupper end closed and constructed to be suspended within said outer receptacle, and an independent cap for ysaid outer receptacle constructed to engage said inner removable receptacle to hold the same within said outer receptacle, substantially as described.
5. In a receptacle of the character described, the combination of" an outer receptacle, an inner removable receptacle having its upper end closed and constructed to be suspended within said outer receptacle, an independent cap for saidouter receptacle' constructed to engage said inner removable receptacle and to center the said inner removab e receptacle Vwithin the said outer receptacle, substantially as described. v
