TO ALL WHOM IT MAYv OONOERN:
Be it known that I, JOHN A. WILSON, of Spencer, in the county of Worcester, and State of Massachusetts, have invented a new and improved Mop-Head, and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of this specification.
The present invention consists of a head or holder for a `nop, provided with rollers suitable for wringing the same when the mop isso hung to the head that at such times as is desired it can be drawn around and between the wringing-rollers without touching it with the hands. In the accompanying plate of drawings my improved mop-head is illustratedv i Figure 1 being a side view of the same; and
Figure 2 a central longitudinal section. y
Similar letters of reference indicate like parts. p
A, in the drawings, represents the mop-head, which consists of a frame, B, formed of side-pieces, C,joined together by cross-braces or bars, C2, and provided with a suitable handle, D, for operating it. In `this frame B, at its upper end, or where the handle is attached, are two wringing-rollers,`E, placed one alongside of the other. F,-an endless apron passing around the lower wringing-roller, and from thence around a roller, G, in lower end 0f mop-head frame B. To this endless apron the mop H is attached. By the construction of the mop-head with the wringing-rollers E, endless apron F, having mop attached to it, it is obvious Vthat if the wringing-rollers be turnedthey will draw through and between them the mop material as the endless apron passes around, and thus produce the desired wringing thereof, a crank-handle, L, being attached to lower wringing-roller for convenience in turning it.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new, aud desire to secure by Letters Patent- Securing the mop `H to the endless apron F, which passes around the upper roller E and lower roller in the mop-head A, as herein set forth for the purpose specified.
^ JOHN. A. WILSON.
