SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 644,764, dated March 6, 1906.

Be it known that we, JOSEPH W. FILLIP and ROBERT E. LITTLE, citizens of the United States, residing at Tunis, in the county of Burleson and State of Texas, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in P1ow-Stooks,of which the following is a specification, reference being had therein to the accompanying drawings.

Our invention relates to improvements in plow-stocks having adjustable foot or heel bars.

p The object of our invention is to simplify and strengthen the construction and provide a plow-stock of this character adapted to carry any kind of plow-blade used on a straight stock.

It is also our object to connect the foot-bar to the stock independently of the foot of the standard.

It is also our object to provide an auxiliary foot-bar having a plow-point attached adapted to be used with middle-break moldboards.

In the accompanying drawings, forming a part of this specification, Figure 1 is a side elevation in perspective of our plow-stock, and Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the auxiliary foot-bar.

Referring more particularly to the drawings, A denotes the plow-handles, B the beam, and O handle-supports secured to the beam andprovided with perforations for adjusting the height of said handles.

D- denotes the standard, formed of two side pieces embracing the beam, their upper projecting ends being bolted together by bolts (1 d, the shanks of which bear in recesses formed in a block b, fastened on top of the beam, as shown in Fig. 1. Below the beam said side pieces embrace and are bolted to the forward end of a brace E. At the lower end of the standard a spacing-block is interposed be tween the side pieces, and also a suitable bolt (1'' may be used for coupling onplow-blades. The brace extends rearwardly, and its rear end is curved upward and bolted to the plowbeam.

F F'denote supports adj ustably secured to the brace E by jam-nuts and bolts, which latter pass through slots ff and perforations in the brace E. Said supports serve to hold in position independently of the standard a footbar G, provided with a rudder-blade g, detachably connected at its rear end.

K denotes an auxiliary foot-bar having a plow-point at its forward end and a rudderblade 70 detachably connected to its rear end. This foot-bar is adapted for use where a middle-breaker moldboard is used and is fastened in place as follows: The foot-bar G is first removed from the supports F F, the support F detached from the brace E, and the spacing-block at the lower end of the standard removed. The foot-bar K is then bolted by its forward. end to the standard by means of a bolt 61 which passes through a perforation in the lower end of standard,whi1e the rear end of said bar is bolted to the sup port F through the perforation l0. 7

Having shown and described our invention, what we claim,and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

In a plow-stock of the class described, the combination of the standard, the standardbrace, the supports attached to said brace, and the foot-bar secured to said supports independently of the foot of the standard.
