HOTEL REGISTER.

Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 63,924, dated April 16, 1567; antedated December 5, 1866. IN

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, JOHN L. MITCHELL, of Buffalo, in the county of Erie and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Hotel-Register Book; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, sufficientto enable one skilled in the art to which the invention appertains to make use of it, reference being had to the accompanying specimen pages which are made a part of this specification.

a This book is interleaved with blotting-paper, upon which are printed or impressed advertisements or business-cards.

The object of the invention is to afford a means for displaying advertisements to the business and especially to the traveling public. It being the custom for hotelguests to register their names, the advertisements on the interleaves of the book are necessarily displayed Z-to their view and the information thus disseminated.

The advertisements may be displayed upon the interleaved pages, according to the taste rolled.

Iiavin g described my invention, what I claim therein as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

A hotel-register book with interleaves of bibulous paper with advertisements displayed thereon, substantially as described.

To the above specification of my improvement I have signed my hand this 5th day of September, 1866.
