IMPROVEMENT IN GLASS MONUMENTS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 167,470, dated September '7, 1875 application filed July 24, 1875.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, ANsELM PFEIFFER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Glass Monuments, of which the following is a specification:

The object of this invention is to furnish improved monuments, which shall be neat and tasteful in appearance, may be ornamented to any desired extent, and which may also be used as a receptacle for flowers, wreaths. and other tokens of remembrance placed upon the grave, to protect them from the weather.
The invention consists in a monument formed essentially of glass set in a suitable metal, wood, or stone frame-work, as hereinafter fully described.
