The object of my invention is to provide a wringer structure in which the end guards for the rollers may be readily assembled with the main frame and ,held in place "without 6 bolts or screws, the construction being such that the end guards may be readily removed and replaced.
The invention herein specifically claimed has been divided out of my pending applical tion Serial Number 15,434 filed March 14, 1925, now Patent 1,645,297, patented Oct. 11, 1927.

Fig. 1 is a vertical transverse medial section, of a wringer embodying my invention, the top roller and associated parts being omitted; Fig. 2 a section on line 22 of Fig.1; and Fig. 3 a fragmentary side elevation with the top roller in place.
In the drawings 10 indicates an inverted base channel from the ends of which rise the end channels 11' each comprising the outer wall 12, the side walls 13, 13 and the inturned vertical lips 14, 14 the inner edges of which are spaced to receive the ends of the shafts of the rollers 15.
In order to guard the ends of the rollers and preventarticles from passing off over the ends of the rollers and in order to guide expressed water inwardly onto the adjustable reversing drain pan, I provide, at each end of the roller, a readily, removable and.
replacable guard comprising a slotted plate 20 the inner vertical edges of which are bent to form hooks 21 which embrace the inner edges of lips 14, and the outer and lower edges of which are turned substantially at right angles to the plate to form vertical 1925, Seria1 No. 15,434. Clothes guides, directing garments to the crotch between rollers 15, are formed by plates 30 each having its ends upturned at 31 pivoted, by rivets 32, to ears 33 formed on plates 20.
The hooks 21 slide freely over and inter lock with the edges of lips 14 of the frame upright and hold the plates 20, and associated parts, firmly in place and permit said plates to be readily removed and replaced without manipulation of any fastening members such as bolts or screws.
I claim as my invention 1. In a wringer, a main frame comprising a base bar and end uprights, said uprights comprising an outer wall, side walls and inturned vertical lips, and roller guards each comprising a slotted plate having hooks along the slot slidably engaging the upright lips and clothes guides having upturned ends secured at their upper ends to, said roller guards. l

In a wringer, a main frame comprising a base bar and end uprights, said uprights comprising an outer wall, side walls and inturned vertical lips, and roller guards each comprising a slotted plate having hooks along .the slot slidably engaging the upright lips and having a roller-guarding flange, and
clothes guides having upturned ends secured at their upper ends to said roller guards.
