962,945. Scraping-machines. E. NEWHOUSE. March 11, 1963 [March 10, 1962], No. 9306/62. Heading E1G. A scraping machine for cleaning out cowsheds comprises a centre board 1, preferably extending the width of the floor between drainage channels G, and wingboards 8 carried by tubes 6 horizontally pivotable and vertically adjustable in C- section guides 5 on the centre board. The boards 8 are longer than the width of the channels G and in use are arranged as shown at the right-hand side of Fig. 1, bars 11 carrying teeth 13 engageable with brackets 12 to prevent outward movement of the boards 8 while permitting their inward movement when they contact inwardly and upwardly inclined ends G1 of the cowshed to allow the machine to pass through the doorway G2. Rubber flanges 14 extend along the lower edges of boards 1 and 8.
