To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, EMMETT N. FIsoHEn, a citizen of the United States, residing at Bristol, in the county of Elkhart and State of Indiana, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Trousers and Necktie Holders; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact descrip tion of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to improvements in trousers and necktie holders.

The object of this invention is to improve the construction of holders so as to provide a simple and inexpensive trousers and necktie holder of a single length of material and one which will be cheap and inexpensive to manufacture.

A still further object of this invention is to provide a trousers and necktie holder of such a construction that the neckties and trousers not being worn may be suspended upon the holder and kept in place and loss or misplacing of the same prevented.

A still further object of this invention is to provide a device of this character, which will be simple, practical and comparatively inexpensive in construction and one that can be manufactured and sold at a low cost.

With these and other objects in view, the invention consists in the novel combination and arrangement of parts hereinafter more fully described and set forth in the claims hereto appended.

In the drawing Figure 1 is a perspective view illustrating the trousers and necktie holder as made in accordance with this invention, and

Fig. 2 is an end elevation of the same.

Referring to the drawing, the numeral 5 indicates the holder in its entirety and it is constructed of a single length of material such as wire or the like or other material suitable for the purpose. The material is bent back upon itself intermediate its ends to provide a hook 6 and the terminals of the hook are bent laterally in opposite directions to provide the horizontally disposed bars 7. The terminals of the bars 7 are bent downwardly at right angles thereto in a substantially vertical plane to provide end connecting members 8. The terminal of one end connecting member is bent forwardly and disposed in a substantially horizontal plane to provide an end supporting bar 9,

the terminal of the end supporting bar 9- is bent at right angles thereto and in spaced parallel relation with the bars 7 and in plane below the same, thereb constituting a rack bar 10. The terminal of the, rack bar is bent rearwardly to provide a latch 11 and the terminal of the latch is bent in a substantially horizontal plane in spaced parallel relation with the rack bar 10 to provide a clamping'bar 12, the terminal of the clamping bar being connected as at 13 to the end connecting bar or supporting bar 9 of the holder.

The other end commenting bar 8 has.- its terminal looped as at 13 and extended forwardly as at 14 in a plane beyond the bar 9, the bar 14 is then bent back upon itself as at 15 and has its terminal arranged'in spaced parallel relation with the barli-l, as at 16 to constitute a keeper, the terminal of the keeper is extended through the loop 13' and extended over to and connected to the bar 9 as at 17 and it is in abuting engagement with the opposing face of the bar 12 thus constituting the other clamping member 18 and the clamping members 12 and 18 when moved into engagement with one another are adapted to support a pair of trousers therein, which trousers are designated by the character A in the drawing.

The rack bar 10 is adapted to have arranged thereover the ties designated B, and thus it can be seen that the device may be readily supported in a cupboard or upon a wall or the like and the trousers held in' their creases when not being worn.

In use, the rack bar 10 is grasped and the latch 11 is swung from between the keeper bars 14 and 16 respectively. The trousers are arranged in their creases and the cuffs of the trousers are in alinement and the trousers are inverted so as to be inserted between the clamping bars 12 and 18 respectively, then the pressure is applied to the rack bar positioning the latch 11 between the bars 141 and 16 thus clamping the trousers in the position illustrated in Fig. 1 of the drawing.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim is:

1. A trousers and necktie holder formed of a single length of wire bent to provide a supporting hook and frame, clamping members formed integrally with said frame, a supporting rack formed integrally with the clamping members, and means for holdring the clamping members in engagement with each other when carried by the frame.

2. A holder of the class described formed of a single length of Wire bent intermediate its ends to provide a hook, the terminals of the hook bent laterally in opposite directions to provide a pair of supporting'bars, connecting members formed integrally-with the supporting bars, a supporting rack formed integrally with one terminal of one conecting member, a clamping member formed integr'ally With the terminal of the other connecting member, a pair oi clamping bars formed integrally with the rack and keeper.

A trousers holder and necktie racl: termed of a. single length of wire bent intermediate its ends to PlOVlQlG ahoolr, the terminals of the hook bent laterally inopposite directions to proi'ide horizontally disposed supporting bars, the terminals of bars bent downwardly in a substantially vertical plane to provide connecting members, one of the connecting members bent forwardly and back upon itself in spaced parallel relation to the supportingbars and in a plane below thereof to constitute a rack bar, the rack bar bent rearwardly to provide a latch, the terminal or the latch bent inwardly in spaced parallel relation to the rack bar and connected to the connectingbar to provide a clamping-member, and another clamping member formed integrally with the connecting member in spaced parallel relation with the first named clamping lenllll, said rack bar adapted to facilitate the moving of the clamping bars into and out of engagement with one another as and for the purpose specified.

A holder of the class described consisting of a single length of Wire bent intermediate its ends to provide a supporting hook, horizontally disposed supporting bars formed integrally With the terminals of the hook, connecting members termed integrally with the terminals of the supporting bars, supporting bars extending from and formed integrally with the connecting members, a keeper formed integrally with one of the connecting bars, a rack bar formed integrally with the other connecting bar and in spaced parallel relation with the supporting bars in aplane below thereof, and clamping members termed by the latch and rack bar said clamping members having a catch formed integrally therewith for engagement with the keeper to hold the clamping bars into engagement with one another, as and for the purpose specified.
