Abstract
A process for simultaneous preparation of concentrated nitric acid and improved calcium nitrate comprises distillation of solutions of nonconcentrated nitric acid, further treatment by neutralizing agent, concentration of solution of calcium nitrate. The part of acid diluted solution of calcium nitrate is neutralized by gaseous ammonia with the preparation of solution of concentration of 73.5-75.2 % Ca(NO)and 3-10 % NHNOand is taken out as finished product or given to granulation. The second part is neutralized by lime milk, filtered, and then concentrated and returned to distillation of nonconcentrated nitric acid.
